Does anyone know if this model (the 24 Carbine) comes with the TO5 adjustable trigger or one of the non-adjustable variants? Thinking about purchasing one as I tend towards carbines being a shorty myself.
Thanks in advance,
Craig.

 Craig,

There were different triggers on different years of production. Both the adjustable and non-adjustable are offered.

The best way is to ask the Dealer for the Model ID and Variat. ANY reputable dealer would surely tell ya...

Frankilly only the adjustable is worth considering if you are paying full Retail, unless ya really get a deal.

The non-adjustable "can" be lightened-up with a weaker trigger apring. Just make sure that you have a solid sear contact for safety's sake!

Heck, the old Model-25's were similar to the non-adjustable, and there are literally millions of them happily in use everywhere, worldwide!  (I literally adore my old 1960's .22 Caliber Diana/Hy Score-801!)

 It's a point to consider...

 HTH,

 ZVP

Hi ZVP,
Yea, I thought I read somewhere that the early 24's had adjustable triggers which were replaced by non-adjust and then back to adjustable TO5's. I noticed the particular dealer in question lists the product as having an adjustable trigger. But to be safe, I fired him an e-mail and hopefully he will reply.

I thought that the 24C being a later model might have a TO5....but who knows.

Probably would make for a good lightweight backyard plinker.

Thanks,
Craig.

More than a plinker!

 Craig,

Those little 24's also make for a sweet short range Hunter/Pest gun also!

Remember that back in the early days of airgun import to the US, we were secure hunting with 700fps "Sporters" and did so quite well! Proper shot placement with these small caliber rifles is FAR more important than Magnum velocitys, and the accurate Model 24 is surelly capable of accuracy with good pellets.

Depending on local rules, the 24 will make a fine Backyard gun also. Such shooting often involves hours of cockingand re-cocking and the absense of a 35-50 lb cocking force is a pleasure!

 Have fun,

 ZVP

I fully agree Dave...

For quite some time my .22 24 was my primary AG. At 7.8fpe w/15.9gr Exacts it isn't exactly a powerhouse, but when necesary I was able to place head shots on pests as big as crows and magpies from 15-25yds. I never went out of my way to hunt with it, but pest birds sure hate that little beauty! My 24's are my go to backyard plinkers, and that's not likely to change anytime soon. Take care,

Mulby
