| RWS 46E Vs. RWS 34 stock I'm glad I bought the 46, heres why. I have 4 or five entry level break barrel rifles that I like well and still prefer them for hunting. I just shot the RWS 34 again its a nice entry level rifle built well but it comes out of the box needing alot of work, in order to make me happy with it. Like a butt pad and tune for a eaiser firing cycle, its accurate enough but not as accurate as the RWS 46E.
The real thrill of the RWS 46E is that I'm pretty much happy with the gun straight out of the box a little lube job and its fine. It has all the amenities that I like in a rifle, its very smooth, and this is a basic model.
So though the RWS34 is more powerful as are all my break barrel rifles. The RWS 46E stand out because its different, better, safe, designed superbly (that might be its weakness but its also its strength)the neatloading port and more its accurate. In the long run its cheaper because I don't have to find or build a butt pad or pay for an expensive tune job or do it myself. It has a better scope rail and I need no 3rd party stock which could be $100-$250 or more. I don't need to do anything but keep shooting the RWS46E. A dressed out RWS46 might be nice just to look at and shoot occassionally.
The RWS34 has loads of fans it won't miss me or I it. |
