Haven't got to shoot my 46e in awhile, I just got my first chrony and wanted to see just what the 46e was shooting. sad results, it was shooting less than 700 fps, with cpl , cr wads , 660 fps. cph , was below 600. I had some Beeman kodiaks heavys and they shot under 400. the heavys are about the same as the cph, and they did have a good fit, no slop that I could tell.
The gun cocks fine , feels like it shoots hard, but the number just dont add up to what its 900fps factory figures, and I know that they very.
Is in need of a repair or what
Low ...it should be doing mid 800's , the heavy pellets are not kind to its spring .
Did it diesel a lot when new ? how long was it out of action ..sometimes lubes get heavy and viscid
or runny and leave it dry.
If it consistantly gets these numbers a teardown maybe in order .
There is a break in time that usually after 200-800 pellets the gun stablize.

My 46E shoots Beeman LT 7.7 845fps, cpl 815fps, and cph 10.5 665fps. It is the most accurate gun I have I've done a minor lube job to smooth it out more after that its just a smooth accurate gun. I did a search of what to expect and knew before I bought it, it wouldn't shoot 950fps unless with tht perfect pellet. I noticed that its not the lightest always that gives the best fps sometimes it the best sealed pellet for the rifle. In a test of this rifle shot the rws hobby 6.5 645fps but shot 8.3 pellet 675fps.
