leaky tap

hi, does anyone know how to fix a leaky tap? i've been told that there is a type of sealing grease you can use, but what it is called no one seems too know? regards steve

no its an original 50, i was tempted to make a new one but it doesn't seem to be that badly worn, i tested it with chalk dust and its leaking, i think the grease would do it if i knew what it was called ?

Try Jim Maccari's "clear tar." You can order this at: http://www.airguns.citymax.com/page/page/251327.htm

This is a type of open-gear grease, which Jim sells as a tuning aid. Should be just the trick for this maybe.

are custom fit to a rifle so if one was to make one it would take some blueprinting to get it to fit tight.

Never seen one leak or show any signs of wear unless it has been "lubricated" with Silicon Oil.
