Can anyone please tell me what the RED screw is for in the trigger guard?
I'm assuming the black screw directly behind the trigger is the adjustment - is this correct - if so, which way do I turn it to lighten the letoff? ( by the way, the RED screw is behind the black one almost at the very rear of the trigger guard.) This is a Model 50TO1 dated 1983 (late production). Also, is this the famous "ball sear" trigger and is the piston seal leather or synthetic.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

No, it's not the three ball sear trigger

Seal should be leather. Sorry, I can't help you with the red screw question. Mine doesn't have that.

50 T01

The model 50 T01 was the last model 50 version. It has the same powerplant and trigger as the original model 45 barrel-cocker (completely different than the model 45 now being made, which is a model 34 action in a stock resembling the old gun). It does NOT have the ball-sear trigger, it has the same multi-lever design as the 45. I can't help you on the trigger adjustments, but maybe someone with a 45 can.

All previous model 50's shared parts with the model 35 barrel-cocker, and do have the ball-sear, but not the 50 T01. The T01 is significantly more powerful than the older gun as well.

I'd guess it has a leather seal, but I don't know that for sure. The old model 45 used both leather and synthetic at various times.
