Binding

Have a mod.#34 for last 7 yrs. and went to shoot it the other day and first shot well when cocking for second, it now binds right at hte end of the stoke rt. before it locks....can force it a little bit and will cock and seems to shoot ok but cannot see anything binding externally.....will open up later in week but what should I look for????Mike.......

Broke her down this evening and sure enough......broke spring 1 inch from seal end of spring......now I need some good advice for replacement....know about JM springs and guides....but really need to know what will give me tack driving accuracy and power out to 40 yards for those long shots needed on black bird and such....Thanks....Mike PS. .177 cal.....have new org. seal for replacement but should I look for better....

Yep, A broken spring is the most likely, exact same thing happened to mine last year. Good thing is now you get you gun refreshed with a new spring so she'll be just like new again. Crappy thing is it will take some time to break in the new spring.
