I have rust - missing bluing on my RWS 34 Barrel !!!!

I have had an RWS 34 about a month , and fired about 1000 -1500 shots .
I keep the guns in the garage soo there is no change in temp. from an air conditioned house to the outside humid air etc . I usually have about a 45 min - 1 hr shooting session out side .

After I shoot I immediately wipe down the gun..any thing that is blued or steel with a oiled cloth.

What I have discovered is that when I cock the barrel with my left hand ...If I don't use the plam of my hand and instead let my fingers wrap around the barrel as I cock it my wedding ring is the cause ??? of wearing the bluing off ...about 2 -3 inches behind the front sight !!!!!

I'm not sure what RWS uses for bluing but it almost looks like it is a painted or baked on finish ??? The area in question is only about 1/8 -1/4 inch spot ..But none the less still there down to bright bare metal.
I will try cold bluing and or if that don't take will just use a black marker.
Sooooo Be carefull of what and how you grasp the barrel on a barrel break springer .
