Hello all,
I just purchased a rws 46e in .177 cal. This is my third air rifle besides the Daisy's of my boyhood. My first was my FWB 124 which I sadly sold and a Beeman R7 which I still happily own.I wanted something with a little more power than the r7 but still had good manners and accuracy. Does anyone here have experience with this model? Has anyone put a peep sight on one? Can you use a pell seat to insert a pellet into the bore? What kind of accuracy can I expect?
Best,
Rooney

Diana 46E

I very nearly bought one of these from MidSouth Shooters when they had them on sale because of the writeup done on "Our Take" on Straight Shooters. They say the 46 is a one hole grouping rifle, impressive description from those guys.
Let us know how it shoots.

Too good to pass up

Hello,
I did buy it at midsouth for 189.99 and thought it was a very good deal! I'm expecting it some time this week and I'll post a shooting report.
Best,
Rooney

I bought a .177 46e from Midsouth this spring and have very much enjoyed it. It will shoot 1/2" groups at 20 yards and into 1 ragged hole at 10 yards. I have used it to shoot rock chucks out to 65 yards with devistating results. Mine seem to prefer the Benjamin Round Nose Pellets over any of the flat nose pellets at over 20 yards. My only complaint is that it ocasionally has a corse cocking action at about 3/4 stroke. I'm not sure if it is a roughly finished tube or spring binding or exactly what causes it. Overall I am very happy with this gun - especially for under $200.

I too have resently purchased a Diana 46E .22 from Midsouth. I am very pleased with it. Very accurate and not pellet fussy when using quality pellets, even if mixed. I also have the occasional course cocking action as mentioned above. It is a joy to shoot. One thing, better make sure you hear the click that it is cocked before taking your hand off the lever because it will really snap back. Common sense but thought I would mention it. It is pleasing to see every pellet hit it's mark. Very good choice.

I bought a RWS 46E also on sale from Midsouth, great Rifle.

I bought a RWS 46E also on sale from Midsouth, great Rifle mines is .177. I've done a lube tune on it the main spring was pretty dry and I adjusted the trigger pretty sweet. Its is a 1 hole rifle at 10-15 yards and 25 yards a jagged hole, its now has a nice trigger and smooth cocking action and firing cycle. Its one of my ost accurate rifle, though it advertises 950fps mines shoot 860fps with 7.5 Beeman ft and 825fps with CPL 7.9s. So like straight shooter advised its a Mini-magnum. But it is very accurate and well made. I'm impressed, its a great buy.

I have a 46E in 22 and love it

never needed a pelseat to get pellets in the bore but I suspose you could if you wanted to. My 46 is extremely accurate at least at the 10 yard range in my home. I can regularly get round 1 hole groups not much bigger than a dime at that distance. I have yet to put a peep sight on mine but hope to do so in the future. Its a great gun.
