First shot of the day

I have 2 RWS 34's .177 - .22 ( Newer Guns about 1500 -2000 shots through each . In the summer I have been shooting each morning outside. at about 15 mtrs - 45 Feet

I had / have the guns sighted in with (scopes ) and I have my shots in an area about 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch .

Both calibers are shooting fine and I can use about 2 - 4 different pellets ( ALL RWS ) styles but close in wieghts )

The guns are kept in my garage soo there is no change in Temp or humidity as if they where brought out from an air conditioned house etc .

The first shot and through about the next 10 - 15 are opening up to about 2 - 3 inches, kinda up down /left right . ?? ( All screws are tight ) The .177 is the most sensitive and the most off .

After firing the 10 - 15 - 20 shots the ( POI ) pellets and the shots are all back into the area that was sighted in and or shot the day / days before .

When doing this shooting the temps never varied more than 10 degs. from day to day and or the humidity . No measurable wind. Used same pellets from same cans. Guns where not cleaned . I fired the guns hand held and even tried sand bagged just to see what happens . Same results .

Can this all be attributed to the barrel / spring /pistion /seals need to be heated up / worked in each day ?

I'd like my guns to be ready to use for pest control on a ( Pick -up -load & fire condition )

Thanks for any and all who might reply.

Have fun .. shoot safe ........... Jerry
