I just received the 48 yesterday in .20 cal. Man, am I impressed. This rifle and caliber fits the nicht for target and hunting. Pellets are good sized for hunting and FPS in lighter pellets is amazing. You can't beat accuracy. Out of the box, iron sights, no adjustments I could shoot 2" groups at 35 yards. I have a 3x12x44AO BSA that I am mounting this weekend if my mount comes in. I can't believe the power and accuracy of this rifle.

Recoil and pellets

August 9 2006, 9:50 AM

It does have somewhat of a recoil but if you have a good trigger pull it does not effect the accuracy of your shot. I have tried Crow Mags, Silver Points, and Beeman Target and Field Specials. The Target and Fields are especially accurate in this gun. I was shooting last evening, using my knee as a rest, and consistently could hit a 12 oz soda can at 6o yards. I didn't even have to allow for distance drop. This gun shoots from 10 meters to 60 meters with no drop in trajectory. I was even shooting at some doves at around 150 yards. I had to allow for trajectory drop but I was coming close. No kills though. If I decide to go after rabbits or crows I will need to re calibrate my scope for these pellets. I use a BSA 4x12x44AO Airgun Scope and it's perfect for this gun.
