Yesterday, I acquired an RWS 6G pistol. It was kinda a throw in on a Walther LG 55 Double Set Trigger deal. When I first looked seriously at the pistol, I did not realize what it was. Now I realize that it is a Giss re-coiless action pistol, similar to my Diana 66 rifle. The pistol has perfect metal and a perfect left side grip. The wood grip on the right side is almost completely sans finish. Evidently, the previous owner sweated off the right side finish. Question is, whether to refinish the grips and sell an almost perfect pistol, (I'm not a pistol guy), or sell it as it is. Any advice will be appreciated.
It's a personal thing. I'll just say I'm sometimes put off because I don't like a particular wood refinish & would have prefered the worn original. Others will see it differently, I'm sure. I think it's more important to chrono the gun so a prospective buyer would know it's current performance level.
