I am new to this forum, but recently could not pass what I understand is a Diana Model 5 air pistol produced approximately 1935. The gun looks very well made and in a prestine condition, however there is something wrong with sighting - it shoots too high. Perhaps it is a problem with a front sight or something else.
Could you please give me a reference to this gun, or maybe it was already discussed somewhere but I do not see search tool here? I sit possible to obtain a photo for comparison somewhere?
Anyone had a similar experience with a gun shooting too high. I was told that this might be the seal which was worn indeed. Where to get a new one? Thanks
That's about as pretty a piece of wood as I've seen on them. Not sure why you want to see a different photo, yours is fine and that's what they look like. As to the leather breech seal, you might get lucky at jgairguns.biz, or just make one (pool cue tips make a great starting point): drill a hole, turn down the OD, slice to thickness. Be sure to soak well in oil before installing and you'll find leather is amazingly compliant.
