it was a cold and rainy night here in Pa.tonight so i took a couple of my airguns out to my garage to shoot.i had my 350 mag. in 22cal.out for a little testing.after many types of pellets(i have a box full of tins to prove it)i thought logan penatrators 16gr were the best for my rifle.rws x-points hold the same groups up to 30yards then penatrators take over.at 50 yards logans hold tight groups in several of my rifles and my 350 is one of them.i bought a pack of preditors a few days ago and i tryed them in a few of my rifles last night.they gave me 1/2 inch at 10yards but at ten yards i,m looking for beter than that.tonight i tried them in my 350 and i was plesently suprised.poi was exactly the same as the logans but i placed all five shots in the same hole.i,ve had alot of tight groups before but never one small hole! after the third shot i actually got up and checked the target to be sure i was,nt missing the entire backboard.the last two shots brushed the sides sides of the hole making it slightly larger but nowhere near a 1/4 inch.i tried to repeat this on the next target but i pulled one shot so that one came out to a 1/4 inch.tomorrow i,ll clean the barrel and try them at 50 yards to see if they can hold up.with all the recoil of a magnum rifle i never thought a one hole group would be possible.i also noticed how tightly they fit in the barrel.you have to give them a firm push with your finger to set them.even my rws pellets don,t fit this well.so far i,m impressed and i,ll update after the 50 yard range.

My Diana 25 like the Diana 12.9 grains
My Feinwerkbau 127 the FX Premium/JSB Exacts in dia. 5.52mm and 15.8 grains
and
My Diana 27 prefers the extra-heavy 21.7 grains H&N Baracuda.

I just can't explain why these particular pellets produce single-hole results at practically any distance I sight them in with a particular rifle, while the other brands of pellets just don't.

It seems that one has to search and test as many pellets as possible in order to find what works best in a particular air rifle.

Cheers,
Nikos
