i plan on hunting with it and also field target so im open to suggestions in calibers. i know how to shoot magnum springers verry well i own the 48 in 177 so i need help on decideing on the next gun
please help

use it for FT and get the .22 350 to hunt with. I had a .177 model 48 that was very accurate but it was harsh and unpleasant to shoot. I always thought it would be excellent with a medium power tune kit, but I traded it away first. I'm a believer in using larger calibers for hunting.

I don't know a lot about it, but I do know that FT is shot almost exclusively with .177 guns. Some of the targets only have a 1/4" kill zone, .22's leave almost no room for error. And high power really isn't an advantage at all. In some ways, your parameters are almost mutually exclusive. The best hunting rifle is going to be a real challenge in FT, while the best FT gun would only be suitable for very small game at fairly short ranges. That said, the R9 in .20 may be the best compromise, short of 2 rifles. Although I've never had any experience with Beeman rifles, I've never heard of anyone that regretted getting one. Hope this helps.
i own some rws mdl. 48 in .22 friends have 350 mags in 22
but everyone loves to use my r9 20 cal it`s smooth shooter
doesn`t have a violent shake or jump as some do. r9 20 cal
good for all hunting and target shooting to weight is good too 7.5 lbs not too heavy to carry around in field all day.
I started some ballistic test of mine using different pellets
in to hickory hard wood ( skid wood)at a certain distance
15yds, to see what kind of penetration the pellets did.
the beeman FTS 20 cal went the deepest than new jsb exacts
benj sheridan cylindrical ,than crosman domed , than h&n
wadcutters and last crow mag hollow point all in 20 cal
you can use this type of test also for accuracy, penetration
distance for hunting or just target shooting believe me
you will love r9 and now my rws 48 collects dust sitting.
If it HAS to be a Diana, then a Model 34 is fine (.177 cal. of course).
If it doesn't have to be a Diana then get a Feinwerkbau 124 Deluxe. Many FT and HFT shooters in Britain still use it and it's a Classic Springer that's hard to beat.
