as I've never handled one. But the "Match type trigger" that the manufacturer refers to would likely be the same as any other later Diana model, likely a T05 labelled unit with one adjustment screw. I have two 24's with the same trigger and after break in and adjustment they are quite decent for a sporter trigger, no Rekord but nice enough for me. HTH,
I saw 2 in the gunshop at our shooting club, both were .177
Honestly I was not impressed. The guns functioned with lots of creep and finish seemed to be better on the other high-power dianas, like the 48/52/54/350.
As an underlever, the HW77/97 seem to make a better impression, though far less expensive (HW77: 329 euro, 460: 489 euro) but less powerful. The 460 may be a good gun, but not put together with enough care and tlc, it seems to me.
here in mexico theres no limit for the velocity of airguns, like in europe, rws consider these kind of regulation seriously, and i can tell you this is more powerfull than the 350 magnum by far , i use the rifle for hunt and i take feral pigs at 35-40 meters easily powerfull and acurate in 5.5 caliber. i have a condor in 5.5 and a sumatrain .25 caliber and the point is that the 460 magnum is less powerfull than the other pcp air rifles but not too much whit the advantage of no refill, the rifle is a real contender for pcp airguns.
Are we talking about the RWS 460 magnum in .22 cal. that has a muzzle velocity of 720 fps? Almost as much power as a pcp rifle. Geeeezzzz, you're not talking about a .460 weatherby are you?
Well it's here, I took pics and will do a proper post tomorrow after shooting it... but fist impressions count right?? It's shorter than It looks in pictures, in fact it's the same length as my Hunter Extreme.... but a lot skinnier It shoulders very easily / well and is very well balanced. It's a 46 with a (hopefully) stronger power plant. I took it out back and fired three Beeman FTS'es just to see if it worked ;) it has quite a recoil, so I'm thinking it's going to produce some good numbers over the chrony tomorrow (close to 1000fps) The wood is very nice and finished well. The bluing job is fantastic too. Overall impression puts it ahead of the RWS 350 on fit and feel.... and it's a lot shorter than the 350, so it should be easier to shoot. I matched it up with a BSA AR 3-12X44 AO scope with Beeman / RWS C mount........... I can't wait for tomorrow... http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t99/rbva/ready.jpg
Any one piece medium height mount should be okay. I use the "C" mount on mine just because I had a spare one. The color of the "C" mount is not black, it's more of a purple / black... weird
If you want THE BEST scope forget about BSA.
It will run you around $399 but take a really good look at the
Zeiss Conquest. For an airgun this scope is top of the line.
