This time it was a session inside my bedroom but I was shooting out of an open window. I got my old Shadow out to compare side by side. I also shot the shadow a couple of times. I am sure getting spoiled by the RWS. The shadow now seemed to small for my stature, i felt like i was holding a rifle meant for a small child. When i shot my shadow it sounded like the most "sprong"ist thing i have ever heard. I don't think i'll buy another gamo after having this RWS, unless of course the Gamo's go on an extreme sale. The RWS sure is a bigger rifle and a rifle with tighter tolerences. When i broke open the shadow's breech to put a pellet in, it felt like the lightest thing ever. Like i said the RWS way surpasses the Gamo shadow in quality. I'm thinking though of buying a new shadow and tuneing it and then comparing the two again.
I have a RWS 34 Panther and two Gamo rifles I don't see that big a difference in size.

I have a RWS 34 Panther and two Gamo rifles I don't see that big a difference in size, where it matters in the stock area. I'm a 45+yr. old, 6'3" 225lb man use to adult size rifles. The Shadow like the 34 is an starting adult air rifle.
The barrel of the RWS 34 is longer and the guns front heavy. As you mentioned the RWS is made better overall. Though I do like the Shadows stock material better but the I like the shape of the 34 better. Accuracy wise I don't see a big of a difference with the Gamo being a little more accurate and easier to cock.
I've worked out the pellet and hold on the Gamos being 2yr old Guns. The trigger is more predictable on the RWS 34.
Like you 'm fast becoming a Diana fan, I now have 3 RWS the 46, 34, and the 21. RWS does make a nice air rifle, for the money the Gamo hold its own. I would post some groups but only the long way around the block photo bucket is available.
