I’ve seen Eddy’s Unofficial 54 site but is there anything else out there on stripping and tuning these rifles, I’m in the UK so I need to stay under 12 FPE.

Any advice or links would be gratefully received, especially anything relating to reducing the lock time in a lower powered rifle.

Short Stroke?

December 26 2006, 9:04 AM

As I said I’m in the UK so I have to keep it under 12 FPE. As far as I’m aware the best mod to achieve that and keep the lock time good is to short stroke the rifle, there may be something posted here I can’t find it.

Has anybody here actually done this?
Any suggestions tips/hints?

The DIMENTIONS OF THE FULL POWER piston assembly, rod length etc would be very useful so I can check against mine. I don’t think they do a low power piston but I’d like to check first.

Thanks Again Ora

They only list 1 piston for these guns. Of course the T01 and T05 are different pistons, but there is only 1 piston listed for each trigger group.

The do check, airguns can be seized by the Police and tested, if it's producing more than 12FPE your guilty it's that simple.
It's an "absolute offence" which means that NO EXCUSES (eg it's new out of the box)are excepted, if it's over your done!! This conviction would get you a criminal record for a Fire Arms offence a serious matter.

It becomes complex because the conditions of test are not specified by law so any pellet can be used with the obvious nightmare results for PCP shooters.

The Police rarely wander about snapping up airguns generally your rifle would only be tested if your were in an inappropriate place with it or involved in some sort of criminality.

The result of this is that most UK based Airgunners are a bit neurotic about FPE.
