I have a RWS mod 34 in .177 and would like it in .22 cal for hunting. I thought of purchasing a nother rifle, but something came to mind and I thought I'd try this! I also have a RWS 24 in .22 cal for plinking. I took some measurements and low and behold swapped the barrels from one gun to another. They both fit each other perfectly and shoot fantastic!! I now have a RWS 34 in .22cal (Lot of power) and a nice easy going plinker RWS 24 in .177. The RWS 34 with the .22cal barrel is as powerfull as my RWS 54 .22cal!! It was like buying 2 new guns and only takes about 15 minutes to do the swap. Try it out.

I take it the 24 is a later model "large tube"? Congrats on the new found versatility. Now that the 24 is no longer found new, I'm dying to have one.
