Hi, just picked up a model 75 and am looking for a set of sight inserts. I have a few of the larger ones 3.8 and 4.0. Would like something smaller. Thanks Tom

Try Straight Shooter

I was just looking at the inserts at Straight Shooter's for my RWS 350. I don't if they will fit your 75. Hope this helps.

Standard "M 18" sight

January 17 2007, 4:57 PM

The model 75's front sight housing will take any standard "M 18" (18 mm diameter) sight accessory. Older FWB, Anschutz, and Walther springers also have M 18 sights. The OEM metal inserts are different for all these guns due to the pattern of their side tabs, but the thread for the retaining sleeve--and thus the ability to take accessories--is the same.

Check out Champion's Choice or similar target-shooting outlets to get my favorite: clear acrylic inserts, which are very economical and give a marvelously unobstructed sight picture. A set of ten different aperture sizes is often sold in a neat rotating holder. These are also common on Ebay etc., do a search there for "Anschutz."

Gehmann, AHG Anschutz, and Centra also make a huge range of adjustable ring devices, "eagle eye" magnifying lenses, etc. that thread into the sight housing in place of the retaining sleeve. Check out www.gehmann.de .

Diana's sporter rifle inserts do not work in the model 75. They are made to the older "M 17" (17 mm diameter) match sight standard.

Thanks for the information. I have a number of 18mm inserts that won't go in the sight. The 17mm sounds like it may work.

sight size

Well, hmmmm, I could be wrong about the size, but Champion's Choice does list the 75 amongst the guns that its M18 insert set fits.

If you have a Diana or Weihrauch sporter rifle with a threaded front sight sleeve, see if it fits in the 75. That would prove it has an M17 sight.
