Hi, just picked up a model 75 and am looking for a set of sight inserts. I have a few of the larger ones 3.8 and 4.0. Would like something smaller. Thanks Tom
The model 75's front sight housing will take any standard "M 18" (18 mm diameter) sight accessory. Older FWB, Anschutz, and Walther springers also have M 18 sights. The OEM metal inserts are different for all these guns due to the pattern of their side tabs, but the thread for the retaining sleeve--and thus the ability to take accessories--is the same.
Check out Champion's Choice or similar target-shooting outlets to get my favorite: clear acrylic inserts, which are very economical and give a marvelously unobstructed sight picture. A set of ten different aperture sizes is often sold in a neat rotating holder. These are also common on Ebay etc., do a search there for "Anschutz."
Gehmann, AHG Anschutz, and Centra also make a huge range of adjustable ring devices, "eagle eye" magnifying lenses, etc. that thread into the sight housing in place of the retaining sleeve. Check out www.gehmann.de .
Diana's sporter rifle inserts do not work in the model 75. They are made to the older "M 17" (17 mm diameter) match sight standard.
