| - For the 54 owners out there: does tilting the gun down, say 15 degrees, as when firing at prey from a standing position, noticeably affect the anti-recoil effect of the sledge mechanism? |

Firing upwards may do a negligible effect of releasing the mechanism backwards a little faster and transfer a little recoil to the sooter.
Down shooting should not do anyyhing.
Unless you must eat them, why shooting animals?
