There are several good ones out there. I have used the RWS C-Mount ( I have them on my M54 and M24C) before and I thinks it's a good mount. Others will disagree with me. B-Square has their AA adjustable mounts in both 1 and 2 piece configurations, but I find them difficult to adjust. But that's just me. Straight Shooters sell "pre-drooped" BLK one piece mounts that should work fine. Also there is the Beeman 1pc (5039 I think) that is adjustable that many have good experiences with. Your rifle will more than likely have some downward barrel angle (droop) ( My M54 has it ) and you really need an adjustable mount. If you don't use an adj mount ( and they will work)you may find your cranking your elevation screw up A LOT to sight in your rifle.
Thanks for your thoughtful suggestions. I think I'm going to try the b-square adjustable. I have had the RWS c mount and found it a little fragile. I couldn't agree more about the adjustable mounts.
Thanks again
The C-Mount is exactly the B-Square mount, just a different length.
B-Square makes them for RWS.
Not a strong enough mount, in my opinion.
I am done with adjustable mounts. You will leave some accuracy on the table by using one. Sooner or later, it will loosen. Sooner or later, the POI will begin to shift. Very slightly is still too much for me.
I have 2 350 Magnums... 177 & 22 and I believe my next purchase may be a 54.
On both, I used the bsquare 17701 1pc adj high mount. That particulat part# is for 1 inch scope tube diameter, and allows the scope objective bell of 50mm or greater to clear the reciever. I'm using Leapers 6-24x50 scopes on both, with plenty of clearance under the bell.
I hung the stop pin over the front of the rail, because I was told by several folks not to use the rear integral scope stop screw because it would eventually sheer off. I know that the 54 may have less recoil, but this is a sweet setup that works great. This mount setup is a solution for any Diana with a raised scope rail(as far as I know). I'm pretty sure Straight Shooters has the best price on the mount at 50 bucks.
1 turn up on the front ring, 2-3 up on the rear ring and you should be good to go as far as elevation. With that setup, I was able to start out at optical center on my scope, and had a little bit of adjusting to do with the scope knobs. Of course windage is always a little trickier, but in the end it was only a couple of hours of fooling with it.
My first 350 tore up my Beeman 1pc adj mount. The bsquare is much more solid. There's kind of an art to adjusting them and once you master it, they are a breeze to set up.
I use my 350s for long range(50~150yrds) and I have had to adjust the scope knobs, but not the mounts. I routinely check the tightness of all the mount screws, but the mounts haven't moved at all, and it's been months since I set them up.
The 54 has far more recoil...to the scope than the 350.
Less recoil to the shoulder though.
I wish someone had convinced me to avoid adjustable mounts when I first got my Diana 54. It would have saved a lot of time and a lot of money.
I've bent my barrel and the point of impact and point of aim are true at 50 yds with the scope adjustment at the center of both adjustments.
That said, I probably am a little too anal about accuracy and most folks might be satisfied with a wee bit of random POI shifting with the adjustables.
I had an RWS C mount on my .22 54. Wasn't really happy with it and switched it out for a Beeman 5039 which I am much happier with. Lots of adjustment built into the Beeman and has a "meatier" clamp onto the rails IMO.
