I took the stock off my RWS 75 to refinish it. That accomplished, I reassembled it. Drew the sidelever back, put a pellet in the breech, went to push the sidelver forward - and it won't budge. Stuck, but good.

Any ideas on what might be ajar? Analogies from 48/53/54 experience might be helpfull, I know they are different but I need a place to start

Thanks all.

Is the stock interfering with the proper functioning of the cocking safety lever?

Sorry I didn't respond sooner.

The first time I opened my RWS 52 box and was messing with everything I tried to cock it but the lever would not go back to its original position. I slightly bent the lever trying to force it forward. I hurried to look through the instructions which were limited. Then I tried to pull back on the lever a little harder and it fixed it. Hope this helps I know its not the same gun. It was like the gun was stuck inbetween positions.
