I've been shooting my RWS 34 (great fun, wish I had taken up air gun shooting years ago) for two years now and my 52 year old eyes aren't as forgiving to the OEM U notch rear sight as they were. I've installed a Williams FP-FG rear sight but I need to remove the oem rear sight, the question is... how to get to the rear screw under the sight blade.
Thanks.

No Need...

Using a small screww driver, I was able to remove mine through the hole in the top of the sight. Mine has two, front and back. It took me all of 30 seconds to remove the front and back sight.

On a RWS 34 Panther...

I have the Black Synthetic Stock and "DayGlow" sights on my RWS 34 "Panther". In order to remove the rear sight I had to use a small phillips screw driver. If you hold the rear end of the sight, the end away from the hinge, and unscrew the elevation (Big Head with Numbers on it) Screw, the spring will cause the rear end to want to move up. Once you have the Big Screw out, allow the spring to move the "Plate" out of the way to give access to the screw. Loosen both screws a little and then remove them both... That's how I did it.

You guys must have a different rear sight than I do. As I said in my post all I had to do was take out two screws and voila! its off.
