Has anyone installed sling swivels on their 350? What kind did you get and what sling are you using? What are the dimensions of both? Any help at all like vendors, web sites, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Re: sling swivels

I think Beeman used to sell sling mounting hardware at one time but I haven't had a Catalog in years from them, if I remember right one stud in the stock and the other mounted to the barrel using a barrel type band for break barrel type guns, hope this helps.

I have a set on my 350. I found them at Pyramid Air for 19.00. I looked all over for them but this was the only place I could find them. Pyramid will stick it to you with the shipping so buy some pellets to make it worthwhile. Hope this helps

Terry

Terry & Randy!

Terry: Is it the Beeman swivels you got from Pyramid for your 350? That's where I get most of my pellets because of the Free 4th tin and relatively low shipping costs compared to most others that make $$ on shipping & "handling".

Did you have to drill a hole into the stock or is it something you wrap around it? I 've never done this before. I own mostly centerfire rifles and never had issues putting a sling on. Did you put a sling on it yet? How does everything fit? I 'll go to Pyramid to take a look.
thanks again

Mounting Sling Swivels

September 17 2007, 9:47 AM

Just drill a hole in the stock where you want the sling to attach(smaller)than the screw mount that comes in the kit. Then screw it in, don't forget the white spacer. The front swivel just mounts on the barrel at a place of your choosing. I mounted mine about an inch from where the barrel fits in the receiver. Yes I have a leather sling that I purchased from Midwest Shooters that I use on it. It helps a lot when you are out tramping through the woods.

Do you really want to drill into the stock ?

October 7 2007, 2:13 PM

Why not just get a sling that requires no drilling? It seems you might want to collect this rifle. Before you know it, RWS will eventually sell out to the mass marketeers like Beeman. Keep it original.

that's why

I have not bought this sling yet Dave. I don't like the idea of drilling my stock and defacing the rifle.

You are right.. or they will all be built in Turkey (like the Webley and a couple of Beemans) or China soon, as everyone seems to be following the "offshoring" trend looking for cheaper labor. This is mainly the Bush administration's fault as they have killed the Dollar's value in the last ~7yrs. US currency has hit record lows and now even the Canadian dollar is surpassing ours! I used to drive to Canada often when it was $1.32 Canadian$ for each US $ dollar, but now it's more expensive no matter where you travel outside this country. We have become the laughing stock of the financial communities overseas. The Euro is extremely strong (about $1.40 for each Euro) so I think this is why the 460 costs $450. If the Euro & US $ were 1 for 1 like 5-6yrs ago when the Euro was introduced, we might be paying close to 40% less for these fine German rifles.

Dollar shot!

October 9 2007, 4:48 AM

Your are absolutely right Harry! The dollar is not worth a daisy pellet anymore. Gone! Kind of scary to know that the Chinese own our debt! And the most massive debt in US history. Let me know when you get your "Pellemeter". My shotgun sling works fine for carrying around. When I get to the field, I usually sit somewhere anyway. Sit, walk, sit. walk. No Problem.
