I've owned two of these Diana break-barrel cocker pistols that I
purchased new. One from Mid-South Shooters Supply and the other
From D & R Sports. Both .177. One shot RWS Hobbies at 580 fps MV
right out of the box. The other was weak for a P5 Mag - more like
a regular P5 until I shimmed the breech seal o-ring. After shimming
it produced very similar power/muzzle velocity results as the other
P5 Magnum.
IMO more than a few owners of 5G/P5 Ms need to shim the breech seal
o-ring and maybe even replace the o-ring too. A replacement can be
had for about 50 cents from a hardware store or auto parts store.
A 'healthy' P5 Mag and P1/HW45 will be about equal in power. I've
owned 4 P1/HW45s (.177,.20,.22) so I'm familiar with that air pistol.
