I got one used, may have been a demo at one time. Its a tack driver with lots of different pellets. Flat trajectory. I put the Maccari kit in it and it is sweet to shoot. Why did rws stop making them in this cal?

25.cal

I recall reading a article that was based on this very subject. According to the author, the 25. cal. did not really distinguish itself significantly from the 22.cal. And the 22.cal is actually more accurate. It was phased out because of these issues. (I will try and find the article). I believe it was from Tom Gaylord.

I seem to recall

folks complaining of the bore being oversized.Whether this contibuted to it's demise in this caliber I don't know. Most likely didn't sell well enough.Mayer and Grammelspachers decisions are based on the bottom line-I would like to see them make all of their magnum class springguns in .25, but I don't see it happening.

I have to agree, I would like to see them make the 48-54 guns in every caliber, these models have been around long enough and seem to be well received by everyone. I remember back years ago when Sheridan was the only gun around in .20 caliber, I have never owned a .20 caliber gun but I am shure they are very excellent in the model 48 type guns.

I second that

Lets all write Diana and ask for them to make the current line in .25 caliber, or at least the Magnum line 48/52/54/350 & 460. I 'd buy a Diana .25 in a flash. I was actually in the market for a .25 Magnum or high powered airgun, and contemplated for about 6mos whether to get an expensive PCP in .25 and all the gear that comes with it, or some other high priced heavy springer which there are just a couple of out there, if that. I realy wanted a german made gun though and I 'm glad I bought a Diana. I just wished I had done it sooner.

I agree with you also Harry, the Diana magnum guns I think could all handle the .25 caliber size pellets, something about those large pellets I think even that is neat as well, I don't think they realize they would have a market for the big caliber guns.

actually Dave..

I would like it much better if they just rounded off all those caliber #'s to 100 or 1.0. It would be so much easier.. like the metric system
I mean .50cal is 12.5mm, .22 is 5.5mm, .44 and so on.. we need round numbers! Lets just make it easy: 100cal or 1" and get it over with. I 'd love to shoot pellets that big. Big is my middle name

PS.
10mm would do fine too at 1,000fps or 100 FPE. All are nice round #'s
