Looking to find 0-ring seals locally. Can anyone tell me what material the o-ring seals are made of? I have the size for the RWS 5G pistol as 7 x 2.5mm. What size is in Model 34 rifle?
TIA

O rings for rifles

Hi there,
First, it is very difficult task to make a reliable and accurate seal in home means. Dont hessitate - buy one. They are cheap.

second:
The side levers are usually made of hard polymer. It looks like a composition of some kind of hardened apoxy with carbonate or fiberglass particles. It gets into final shape after one or two shots.

The break barrels are a softer material, sort of a sophisticated rubber. I guess it is from the Butyl or silicone family, around 80 shore hardness. They must be softer to compensate for the shear movement between the barrel and the cylinder.

Diana Breach Seals

December 24 2007, 12:20 PM

Diana Breech seals, Part # 300312, are the same for Models 20, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 34, 35, 36, 28, 40, 45, and 350.
The seal is a Metric Buna N O-Ring 8 x 2.5
The equivalent North Americam spec O-Ring is 5/16" x 1/2" x 3/32".
This size is Parker AS-568A-109
The #109 O-ring is not commonly sold by automotive, hardware or plumbing stores.
Hardness of 90 Durometer is probably preferable but 70 seems to work OK.
Hydraulics suppliers should have them in stock.

There is usually a .015" thick washer, Part # 300313, under the breeach seal
