the GRT kit was singing to me this a.m.  So I figured it's paid for , why not?

Followed Mario Herreras pictorial for the take down , Scot Heath's for deburring and fitting some of the oem parts and used lots and lots of towels . Turned out near perfection personified in approximately 3 hours. I didn't go wild with polishing & deburring - just the noticably needed  breaking of edges slightly and polishing at the piston flare with 1000 and 2000 grit paper . Burnished piston and chamber with moly powder .Cleaned everything else up well . Tarred spring (q -tips make for clean fingers btw),lubed what needed it  and reassembled .(did not replace the seal as it was in perfect "as new" condition and coincidently blue just like the JM seals )

Cocking effort is decreased slightly . Could be the kit or could be the burnish lubing with moly powder. Either way it is noticabley better.

I did nothing to the trigger assembly other than a clean up and Tuff Glide/moly powder lubed. Improved quite nicely . Not light not stiff but smooooth. I may shim the trigger blade in the future as there is some side play evident . The unmeasured pull weight is fine as is .

Was a little worried about a test fire - First time for me doing this , worry for nothing ...

Loaded its favorite Accupell and a Satisfying "Thud"  *insert Big smile here* The pellet hit 1" high and right . Repeated the sequence same/same result . No torquing ,less recoil impulse ...just *Thud* .
The muzzle report seems to have decreased judging from the "no echo in the hallway effect"

Adjusted the Bushy Trophy 4-12 back to approximately where it was  when I installed it - 25 clicks down and left 20 . "Thud" 5 more times . Yup! it helped a bunch.
Thanks everyone that pointed me in the right direction and provide links to do this .
*still grinnin*

Rick! Now if you can only tell us what gun you did this on and which GRT kit you installed, it 'd make me feel a lot better
Did you get a chrony yet? I 'd be really curious about before and after #'s after a kit install. That's just me..

Man ! Details details

details ! LOL Now *that* is a good question ! This was the kit for the 48 . I thought it was a good shooter before - as it was - afterwards, it's a night and day difference for the good. A before and after isn't going to happen in this case - I'd love to know myself ...
The chrony was put on hold because my daughter reeeeeally wanted something for Christmas . Since I'd rather she spent her earnings towards college ,I felt obligated .

Hopefully I can get *my* Christmas present (chrony)before the New Year (guns don't count because they are "needs" not wants
