I have shot many rounds through my Leapers TS scope on my 460. mag. 22. I have had no problems with the scope falling off. It rides the gun well. Has had very little creep. However the locking device or device on the horizontal adjustments has either broken or been striped. The scope can still be adjusted, but the adjustment cannot be locked! I have no idea if this is from the vibration of the gun or just a loose spring in the mechanism. Has anyone else had this problem with the scope?
sorry to hear about your scope problem Dave. Maybe the 460 is also a scope-eater as well?
I actually made up my mind not to buy a Leapers scope a long time ago. I 've read of too many problems with them, and most look like they 're QA or design issues or their scopes are not truly "TS" and it's just an acronym they give their regular scopes or use an extra screw or something and call them "True Strength". I know many people have not had any problems with theirs but these scopes don't cost much, so a certain number of them are expected to have problems. You should be able to get this covered under the warranty. It just stinks you have to send it out. I plan on having a backup scope for my 350 if and when this happens to me.
I will not place the Leapers scope on the 460. when it is returned to me. It would be like having the Goddess ride a donkey. I will be looking for a quality scope to place on the Best Diana ever made.
Maybe a Bushnell Elite 4200 8-32x40
Bushnell Elite 3200 7-21x40 Mil-Dot Scope
Bushnell Elite 4200 8-32x40 Mil-Dot
Weaver Grand Slam 6-20x40
The scope I am really taking a serious look at is the LEUPOLD 3-9x33 EFR Scope!
I am really in the line of thinking that a scope should be in the price range of the gun. I am tired of cheap scopes. The leapers, the RWS, all the junk out there. I am going to push the button on a great scope for a g gun, the Diana 460. Then I am going to get the Master tuner Marcelo Zapatero to tune the gun for me. The rest will be history!
Harry, I almost did not even notify Leapers as the scope still works well. The device that locks the adjustment seems to be broken. Actually, it was a pain in the but anyway, which I stopped using a long time age. I am curious as to what Leapers has to say. Yes it is covered under warranty, and I am just debating weather to even send it back or just continue to use it without that feature. If you use the divice you have to unlock it each and every time you make a slight adjustment. I do not even know why it is build into the scope. I also have a leapers mini-scope which works fine. I really like their scopes and will continue to use them in the future.
I am working with Leapers as we speak to solve the problem with the scope mounted on my 460. We shall see. I am confident, that this company that advertises as the "new Generation of air gun scopes" comes through. I think they will.
I have the same scope on my .177 cal mod 48 still going after 2500 rounds. It has lasted longer than two BSA 3x12x44 scopes that it replaced.Maybe my RWS do not like the BSA's.lol

I would strongly recommend the Bushnell Legend 5-15x40. This is the scope I have on my Watts ADV tuned R11. The scope is bright, has that great Bushnell glass and a very good warrantee.
Although I must say that you can have issues with any brand of scope. The chances are supposed to be greater with the higher priced units but what I really think matters is the warrantee.
That said, I have a few Leapers scopes on an HW77K, BSA Goldstar and Prosport.
You said you doubt the 460 breaks scopes because it has the same recoil or less than the 34. You don't think the 34 is capable of breaking a scope that is cheap or even Magnum/TS rated? Think again!
I 'm sure Leapers will fix the scope. I think a lot of scopes are hit or miss. You read about people with one brand or model returning them, and other say they 've had them for a long time without issues. I think a lot of it is QC issues or slight miscalibrations in their equipment, etc. I have read many people insisting that a no-frills cheaper scope sometimes holds up better on a Magnum springer than a fancier more expensive one. I 'm not sure I believe that but I think it can go either way. Expensive scopes have issues too. Price does not guarantee you it won't break or it 'll put up for thousands of shots from a Magnum springer. Many of these scopes you listed where not built for the double recoil of a springer airgun, but chances are they are built for very powerful Magnum centerfire rifles so they should hold up reasonably well for a long time.

Harry, like i keep on saying, I do not think the gun had a thing to do with the locking mechanism, which is the peace broken. I believe I broke the damn thing, by over tightening it. The scope was was still functional, and I was still using the scope. That feature on the scope is not something I really like anyway, and wish I had not even sent it back for repair. The cheap RWS scope is holding up fine on my 34. after a hell of a lot of pellets fired through. The recoil on any mild recoil gun, like the 34 or 460, should not break a scope.
I am interested in the LEUPOLD 3-9x33 EFR Scope, because I have heard so many great things about the scope. Not just the fact that it will not crumple from a recoil, but because of the many of features, and the quality of the features. I have the hunting gun, I want. I love the 460, because of the smoothness and the accuracy. I plan on getting Marcelo to tune the gun and make it even more smooth. Macari makes a 460 spring for smoothness and another spring for more power. I do not give a damn about more power. The superior smoothness, and accuracy, combined with a real "QUALITY" SCOPE, will be more effective than any super power rifle.
Leupold has one of the best lifetime warranties in the industry.

PS THE SCOPE PACKAGE ON THE 850, THE "WALTHER SCOPE IS JUNK" DO NOT GET THE PACKAGE
I've had a similar problem with a Centerpoint 3-9X 40mm AO mil dot (same as Leapers). The elevation knob turns and adjusts but it 'grinds' and it will not 'push in' enough for the set screw to catch. Still holds POI so I debate whether to send it back. It's on my 34 with an accushot mount. What do you think?

I hope the Leapers scopes hold up as I just bought the same scope mostly from positive feedback and warranty wise? 3x9x40mm R/G I.R.1" Time will tell I guess.......The red is nice in bright sunlight and the green in the evening shadows..............Going on a HW80K .22............Harold
