Just purchased a RWS 52 to use mainly with open sites at about 25 yards max. This front site is about as crude as they come.I know I can buy a hooded front site, but I really prefer a simple bead on post.I called Umarex but they don't have anything like that.Any suggestions would be welcomed, although I'll probably end up having to make one myself.

Re: 52 front sight

Hi, the globe sight for open sights is not good, for years I have never like that unelss using a diopter rear sight, the front sight that comes on the 52 is not the greatest but maybe you could modify it a bit, I know I used my gun for several rounds with the open sights and found two problems, the rear sight was not that great it would wiggle a bit if you grab it and the front sight is not dark enough, perhaps blacken it up or maybe you could file on it a little so that you could sharpen up the sight picture. I think the globe and the one they come with is all that is around. However the one that comes with a globe does look like it might be a flat type dovetail rather than the angled one that comes with the guns, just some ideas, someone else might be able to help more.
