We have really seen a lot of stress and hardships by our fellow air gunners. Harry, has a new 850. which was screwed up right out of the box. I had a issue with a gun from Pa. another fella has a issue with a 460 mag. and has had it returned twice.
So who has the best service?
Pyramid Air- 30 day return policy if not happy with gun. You pay shipping, and 20 percent restocking fee. On a $460. gun that is about a $100.00 loss on a gun that has a defect. They fix the defect and resale the gun and still make a profit. Gun has to go through the channels to see about the defect and you have to wait. I feel like I got screwed on a defective gun.
Mid-South - Low price, Low shipping, no return policy. At the mercy of Umarex.
Bass Pro shops. Higher price-local, not much inventory but great return policy especially if you live close by. I bought a Diana, was not happy with a chipped seal, and they exchanged the gun with no questions. I will most definitely buy from them if they have my gun in stock even if it cost $50.00 more.
Dave: I must agree!! P.A. has been GREAT for me other than STUPID back order policy they have!! One tin of pells. on back order will hold up a $500 order! (other than that I love them),I have read other rev. that make me think!! Cabellas or Bass Pro shops RULE!!!!!! All my Diana,s have come from Bass Pro,,,(a short 100 mi.mini vac. trip for me),When my 48 did not shoot like "I" thought it should they asked no ? and gave me my $ back! I went upstairs & purchased my 54/22 cal.,NO ONE will ever get MY 54!! P.A. has gotten some bad P.R.,,, I ,personaly have got GREAT service from them. But I will say, if you can can buy from Bass Pro,Cabellas, or Wall Mart DO IT!! P.S. my Diana 48 from Bass Pro was a TACK driver, I have learned sooooooo much. (barrel droop kicked my as$) Good shootin my friend,Tim.

dave i have nothing but good to say about the people at p.a. they have freely given me a lot of help .and i believe their staff as a whole are very knowledgeable. i understand what you are saying but we need to understand what the warranty policies are of the produtes that we are buying.it is no different than the new car some of us may have bought .when it gives you a problem you take to the dealer and ask them to fix it. after the 3rd time of it not being repaired you contact the factory and hope for the best.and you know the rest.and let us remember the brochure stated the car had 259 hp and 158 fpt. if you believed that i feel sorry for you. when you get it dynoed and it only has 200 hp. and 125 fpt. and you want them to fix it. marvin
I truly respect what you are saying and wish the air gun business could be more prominent with companies like Bass Pro Shops where I was able to return my rifle within 30 days no questions asked. This is one reason why I truly want the air gun business to start growing, and get more awareness. PA is obviously the biggest company around and should have a true money back return for 30 days. If Bass Pro shops and Cabella's can do it why not them?
By the way, Now, a days you can in fact buy a car and return it withing 30 days. Even if your return it for repairs, most reputable dealers will take care of their customers at NO charge. PA's resocking fee is nothing but a way to make a dollar off their customers, nothing more. Here is how some companies make a dime off of restocking fee's. Take a gun sold for $100.00, the gun manufacture will resale the gun to them after any minor fixes for a huge discount, and they in return sell it used at about 85% of the original cost. More profit, more sales, screw the customer.
i do not now were you live but the laws in the state of calif do not allow you to do as you have stated dave . and if you chose to do busines with a comany and you know the policys why do you complain when they are appied to you.marvin
Good customer service or bad customer service? I just wish we could all write Cabellas and Bass Pro, and get them to carry the same merchandise as Pyramid Air, so we could run them the hell out of business! I do business with them, because in many case's they are the only one's that have the goods. Save your love for PA and share it with guys that are sending guns back and for delayed orders which seem to be the frigging standard! It just happened again to me today!!
