I just purchased two tins of Crosman pellets. The first being .22 Crosman Competion Wadcutters Premium Grade, the second tin was .177 Crosman Wadcutter Premium Grade. While trying out a old Crosman Pell Master 700 I rebuilt I had a couple of the pellets drop right thru the barrel. Thinking maybe the barrel was wore out I went in the house and got my .22 Cal.Diana 48,after a few shots another fell half way down the barrel, knowing this would cause close to a dry fire I got my plastic ram rod and shoved it out of the barrel.Next I get my 2007 .177 Crosman Quest, and a Chinese .177 B3-1 tuned by me(my first attempt at tuning,,,trigger, deburred,
lubed, spring and recrowned, very accurate and smooth shooter.I was very happy with my work and the learning experence with this cheap little expermental rifle.
After about 20 shots with the Quest same thing happens, down it goes half way thru the barrel, now I am wondering about these pellets???? Load up the Chinese Cheapo sure enough after a few shots same thing happens.
I put the Crosman pellets away and marked the tins NFG and got out my Dynamil Nobal Luftgewehrkugein pellets in both .22 and.177,needless to say i had no more problems the rest of the day.
I am very pleased to hear of someone else is having a few problems with there Crosman pellets.I wonder how many other of our fellow and lady shooters have had the same problem with their Crosman brand pellets??
Its nice when someone brings this type of thing to the forum, it makes others aware and I must admit I never thought of posting such a minor problem, but it is very helpful and something we all should know about.
Thank You Sir
