I really messed up

I was shooting today and noticed my stock was loose on my 350 magnum. This is normal so went and got the screw driver but instead of just tightnening the screws I decided to take the stock off for some cleaning. I had never done that on this gun but many times on my model 34. After I took the stock off I decieded I should go further. I knocked out the first pin holding in the trigger assembly and then it happened. I knocked out the second pin and the spring and trigger assembly went flying. Man am I stupid. I have replaced the spring on my 34 so I should be able to get this one back in. The only problem is that I can't get the trigger back together although I'm goning to get the breakdown and should be able to figure it out. Being I have the spring out I might as well replace it. I have heard of aftermarket springs. Are these better? What else sould I do now that I have it apart? P.S the gun has about 4500 shots through it.
Thanks,
Mike

Mike, glad you are ok,(not injured). 350 w/out a spring compresor?? WOW! Good luck w/ re. assemble. You "fessed" up, that speaks volumes. Now I MUST turn this over to Senior members to help you re. asemble your 350. Dont know if I could use my "backyard" 2 man tec. to install spring on a 350!! Im sure "Charlie Da Tuna" can get you tuned,& back up & runnin! (But you know that!) If you are HARD headed like me,,get a J.M. spring & Get Er Done!! You know all about the special lubes for all the differant mating surfaces?? Must admit Ive "Messed" up before too! Somehow Ive come out ok. Its all part of the learning exp. The guys here are great,I just personally would not ask them for step by step tuning 101. Im still doing that on my $100 China Clunkers!! Im sure you will get replys from others here. (ALOT of 350 fans!!) Good luck my friend!! You are on the right sight for Diana advice! Tim, the WANTA be "TUNA"!!

How much of the trigger went flying? So to speak

February 1 2008, 3:40 PM

There are some really small numbers that will tell you the month and year of manufacture stamped on the metal. Also, are there one or two trigger screws in front of the blade?

Maybe we can get some help rollin' for ya here...

Harv

The entire trigger assembly went flying but luckily I found all the pieces and then used the exploded view to put it back together. The only thing I have to do is put the spring in.

Did you ever get your 350 online ? I am interested because I have one also. And I am thinking of starting to learn to work on springers and would like to know what NOT to do ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. John
