I've been in this hobby for to long to hear so much BS from newcomers like davbch about the quality of Diana air rifles. He owns 2 guns and speaks like he is the Emperior of the Air Gun World. I read the current blogs and the pre -release BS from all of the manufacturers, please, spare us your uninformed opionions. I also own own a few Diana's (13) at last count, a few FWB's and a few Wierauch's, the list of others is too long to bother with. I'm just tired of hearing all of this long winded BS about guns you have never owned or shot. Try a few of the older guns like the Diana 75 , or the FWB 300, and the tell me stories about your 460 or your 850.

would be better Tim I think, but you have the right idea

Dave btw might be tuning his 34 this weekend, so I don't think he believes Dianas do not need any improvements like he used to, so lets cut him a break. He might have a strong opinion of his Dianas but most people do when they only have a few, and it's their guns.

I have always said no gun is perfect and all 5 airguns of mine have flaws for sure but I enjoy them nevertheless.

I 'm going to get my helmet now in preperation of Dave's response & Missy's comeback

Maybe, but

February 2 2008, 2:09 AM

I could tell you a another kind of story, a bed-time story. my first airgun was a Daisy BB gun when I was 10 years old. in my mind I could hit a lemon @ 100 yrds., take down wild animals with it and save Custer at Little Big Horn.

in reality, now I know better. but that was then and now I have grown-up to have the Model 48, 460 and a couple of others. I do not claim to have an arsenal of air rifles or have one that shoots imaginary FPS, I just try to stay with the current info on scopes and mounts and pletora of information about the Diana's, after all this is a Diana forum

some people come with their baggage to this forum and most of us know what they really are about. maybe you could come with your opinion's to this forum, but PLEASE without more "Hot Air". you seem to know about airguns, then add your knowledge for us to benefit instead of substracting

warren

and remember "it's 30% the gun and 70% the shooter"

Thank you for your opinion

Misssdad
It is always nice to hear from someone with a lot of knowledge about RWS airguns. I really am sorry that you have misinterpreted what I was doing in comparing the new guns. Certainly I do not have as much experience as you and commend you on all your RWS guns. I really wish you would go back and read all the post that I hail the RWS. Indeed, why would I own two of the finest guns that RWS has manufactured and be on this site? I would love to own the guns that you do. I have a ad in the paper as we speak for used Diana's. If I come across a old Diana 75 in a decent price I will invest in it in a heart beat. Please in the future try and be a little more tolerant of a rookie airgunner as myself. I would love to learn from you, not be your enemy.

Thanks
Dave@vabch

Missysdad

Missysdad, I also would like to point out that if you go back a few a few pages on this blog you will see how I actually adored Harvey's "75". I even posted a picture I found on the net for all of us to see. Harvey then posted a picture of his beloved gun.
How about starting over. Instead of trying to belittle me, how about telling us all about your 75. How long have you had it? How does it shoot? Do you do a lot of 10 meter shooting? I'am sure you have a wealth of experience that we would all love to hear. How about a Pic of your 75! I did not even know that Diana made a match rifle until Harvey was able to share some info. I would really love to have one.

Good shooting!

Too much hot air

Dave, Your responce to Missysdad leaves me speachless. It speaks volumes about your integrity! You took a negative & turned it into a positive for all of us!! My hats off to you my friend! Maybe we will learn more about Missysdad, & have a new exp. member?? I posted an apology to him cause I did not handle myself nearly as well as you. (sorry). If you are ever in S.C. and want to play around w/ my 54, call me! (Breakfast is on me!!) Tim.

Tim Thanks

February 2 2008, 3:33 PM

I wish I could take some credit, but I have to tell you, that I have been guilty of doing exactly the same thing in the past. Sometimes, we all post some things when we have had a bad day etc. or take something the wrong way. I have ticked off a number of guys on this forum in the past and really did not mean anything by it.. It just happens. But I can tell you this, we are all friends here.
The only thing I am upset about concering Missy;s Dad, is the fact that he has not posted a pic of his 75. Actually, I think that is one gun I would really like to know about.

Missy's dad, welcome to the forum, either back again or new. Please tell us about your guns!

Good shooting!
Dave@vabch
