not bad but

a Bushnell 5-15 x 50 from opticplanets might be the glass for you

I have the Lepers 3-9 x 40 and is a good scope, but not for the M460, it needs a little more glass (the 460)

try the Bushnell for $150.00 against the Lepers which is $80.00, you might like the Bushy

5-15 x 50 Bushnell (legent) for $150.00 from opticplanets, ironclad warranty (if it fails $10.00) and you get one back

nothing but glass in this scope

Warren

PS: maybe $160.00 or OPPS $165.00, but still a magnificent glass

Re: Scope for Diana (RWS) 460 .22

I had a BSA 4x32 Airgun scope on my rws 460 and loved it. It just didn't have enough magnification for me. So I put on a cheap 3x9x32 scope on it and it has been holding up fine. When I can I am probably going to get the 4x12x40 BSA Airgun scope from PA. These are good scope and seem to hold up. I would like a Bushnell Legend but I am not sure it would hold up on the 460, and the BSA is a good deal. Good luck.

Centerpoint Optics

February 6 2008, 6:57 PM

I bought a Center point 3-9x40 Adventure class illuminated mildot scope for about 80 bucks. Initialy I listened to some kid from airgun warehouse and he suggested using the RWS C mount. Well, we all know how that ended up. Stripped the mounting screws after constantly having to retighten. So, I called Pyramid Air and per their recommendation, I just used the mounting bracket that came with the centerpoint and used a shim (cut out some pieces from a plastic coke bottle and wrapped it in some 100mph tape). Wow, it works great! The centerpoint also came with a free bipod.

Centerpoint and Leapers are the same company. Starting to wonder if Hawke is one of theirs too.

There are a couple brand names that are for all intents and purposes different varients of the lines offered to different companies.

So you might find one company offering a 4-16x50 and the other company a 3-12x40. They then put their own "private label" names on the scopes they carry and there you have it. Same scope company provides both dealers its scopes without treading on the sales of the one with the other. If you look at the design and even the "look" of the scope, same grooves here, same finish there, same reticles in both.

I just sent back to Umarex today the Night Pro 3 x9-44 scope that came on my 460. Like the scope but the AO went south. And then I noticed the horizontal adjustment went also. Called Umarex and Kevin said to ship it back so they could check it out. Now I'll wait to see what they do? I have a nice mount and plenty of different scope but the mount is 30mm. Guess I'll use the iron sights for now..

I've still got....

February 10 2008, 8:51 AM

a Leapers 3-9x32 AO/MD scope on my .22 460M. So far not
bad for a cheap scope but I'd like a bit more top end
mag. A compact Leupy 4-12x36 EFR would be nice but it
doesn't exist. LOL Still pondering getting a Bushy
Legend 5-15x40.

Leapers and Centerpoint the same but you may or may not
get a sunshade extension/tube with the Centerpoint. I've
always got 'em with the Leapers.

Centerpoint

October 16 2008, 11:00 AM

I have a Centerpoint 6-24 x 50 scope on my 460 mounted by way of Beeman 5039 one-piece scope mount. I have over 1500 pellets through my 460 now and I have not had to tighten any screws as of yet. Airguns of Arizona hooked me up with an awesome setup with this scope and gun combo. I could not be any happier!

I've got about 3000 rounds on a .22 460 with this scope. So far so good and I love the locking turrets so far. I wish the scope was a big smaller but for $69.95+tax it seems to be holding up so far. I like to have 10K rounds on a springer before calling it good...

Scope and scope mount .........

October 17 2008, 1:10 AM

I agree for 101% with Warren: Bushnell gives you most value for money and is the choice of BIG rifle hunters. To avoid damage on these ( not cheap but very good ! ) scopes it's wise to fit a Dampa mount ( Sportsmatch brand ) and Warren can tell you all about these mounts. Succes with your choice, best regards from Johannis.
