I'm looking at mounts for a RWS 460 and it seems from what I've seen hereand elsewhere the BKL 260 with 6 side screws or the B square 17101 w 4 side screws but has integrated vertical stop screws in the rings if needed would be two best choices.
For the 350 the B square has droop compensation but I'd need the BKL 260-07 for the break barrel droop, I have read this anyhow.
Can I get some comments on these 2 mounts, BKL or B square and which you liked or disliked? I think I'll just remove the little top stop screw from the rail on both guns and count on loctite and frequent re-tightening when/if necessary. Any thoughts on that? I got a Bushnell 71-4124 4x12 40 AO from Optics Planet for the 460.
Just planning on the 350 soon because the dollar exchange rate is going to make thm more and more expensive I think.
Hang the stop pin right in front of the rail, and it wont move a bit. I have heard good things about those mounts, but they are pricey. Personaly, I have an accushot $15.99 mount on my 460 and 34 with the stoping pin hung over the fron of the rail. I have my scopes shimmed with thin layers of eletrical tape in the back ring. This has been a perfect set up for me, and it is a lot cheaper, and less stressful. Sometimes adjustable mounts can be very frustrating. If I had to do it all over again, I would use the same exact set up. You can't beat the one-piece accushot mounts for the price. Good luck with your decision.

Charlie, I have the accushot like Avery. I have had no problems with this mount, and my 460. consistently shoots very accurate. For $15.00 you can't go wrong.

I have the BKL 260 D7 mount for my 350 but haven't mounted it yet. I actually have bought 2 because they were unavailable for 2mos. Noone had them. The BKL 260 mount is used by the majority of 350 and Patriot/Kodiak owners. It is very sturdy and superbly built. The 1st BKL that arrived in the mail got stolen by the neighbor's dog. This dog is about a year old and still a puppy. He ripped the box up, got the mount out of the plastic casing and tried to chew the hek out of it. I found the mount all muddy on a neighbor's lawn about 100yds down the road. I washed it, cleaned it and it looks like new. I can see where the dog's canines tried to bite through it, but his teeth couldn't make any indentations! There is only a small nick or two on the edges.
I 've read of people not even using loctite on this mount and it has held for thousands of shots. It 's be hard to get 4 large screws loose on this mount. They are fairly large and much bigger than the RWS 1pc adj. mount that broke on me.
There are a few people here that use BKL 260's exclusively. I don't know about the 460, but the 350 needs all the mount it can get. The more screws the better. I personally don't like hanging stop pins in front of the rail, etc. I like the mount nicely mounted or centered on the scope rail, not partly hanging outside. That's just me.

I have a 350 .22 and I have a accushot mount on it,I put the stop pin in the rear hole which keeps the mount about 1mm from that screw. When I put it on I cleaned every thing with cleaner so no oil was present.Tighten every thing down and I have not had a problem yet.OH yea I have a leapers 6-24x50 on it which I have been told is a verry heavy scope .I tryed the 15$ mount first to see if it would work, and so far with this setup 500 rounds no problem
I've read many reports on here of the small hole on the rws rail being used.. stop pins almost always plow a trough backwards and eventually the screw head will be contacted.
again, hope it doesn't happen, but keep a close eye on it.

Thank you for the heads up, I took the scope and mount off to have a looksee and every thing is OK ,that little hole is still round. I did read some were maby here that you can put a small o-ring on the screw to act as a cushin but I have not done it yet.I was thinking if there was a problem I might just drill the hole a little deeper but every thing is a ok.
This information gives me several choices. I'll probably try the Accushot first since I've used 2 on a Gamo SSSupreme and on a Daisy 1000s. Then I can go from there to the BKL if I do have a problem and use the Accushot on something else--even if IO have to buy another airgun for it.
Do yall leave that stop screw in the rail at the back? I have sheared one off on my 1000s and wouldn't want to do it on my 460. Or if I leave a screw in place, what do you think about replacing the one that's there with a hardened SS screw?
Harry, did you get your BKL mount from Straightshooters? I tried to order from BKL and Amazon.com a while back but no luck.
got both 260 D7's from StraightShooters. I ordered from BKL, waited 4-5 weeks and cancelled the order. They didn't e-mail me that it was back-ordered or out of them or nothing. I sent 3-4 e-mails and finally 3-4 weeks later from them asking me what kind of 260 I wanted. They didn't even answer my question or any of my e-mails. They were still interested in the order. Then about 6 weeks later, 2 weeks after I cancelled the order, they sent me another e-mail, saying "sorry for the incovinience" but we 'll have them in soon! This is after I cancelled the order. They may still charge my CC and I 'll end up with 3 260's! Who knows with these people. They are not equipped to handle retail customers and have ZERO customer service - they don't answer the phone either!
Order from SS if you consider a BKL. They ship the same day if you call by 3pm. The only thing is the BKL is standard/medium height and 40mm is the largest objective lens you can have on your scope. That suits me because I don't like anything bigger than 40mm. Most of my scopes have 32mm obj. lens.

Thanks Harry, I never got them to answer the phone either.
I had thought about leaving a message ordering about 10,000 mounts and seeing if they would call back about that.
I'll use Straightshooters. And I plan to put a Bushnell 4X12 40AO on the 460 so the medium will do. Glad you mentioned that.
