I believe the more people who respond the quicker the problem will be fixed.Kinda like the squeaking wheel,it always gets the oil first.

Crosman will continue to do what....

February 14 2008, 7:20 AM

they've been doing for years now. Soooo many guys will defend the
big bully that has been slapping them around for years because
sometimes he's nice to them.

Many say nothing about the guns because they bought them to tweak,
trick, mod so it doesn't matter to them that the out of the box
new gun is a 'turd'.

Sometimes one gets good pellets and sometimes not - that's Crosman.
It's been like that for years!

Go back into the airgun forums and you will see/read what I'm talking
about.

I have to agree with you Herb

Herb,
I quit buying Crosman pellets a year ago. After reading the forums and listening to you guys who have alot more time under there belts with "good quailty rifles".I would rather buy the RWS or JSB brand pellets.I have never encountered any problems with neither. My .22 Cal. 48 loves the RWS Super-H-Points.Put a few Crosman CPH thru her and it looks like a shotgun blast with a full choke.
I enjoy your reading forum, there is a ton of information here, and I always look forward to Harvey's next story. If I didn't know better I would swear he is a professional short story writer.
But he always brightens my day,and seems to be able to take us all back to another time and place in our lives.

Thanks To all on this forum.

I agree with Herb, but give credit where due

February 14 2008, 10:03 AM

I can't argue with the Crosman pellet issues. You know something is up when the serious FT guys are buying old die lots for $100+ a box. This pellet problem isn't new, it's just reached a new level of bad. I haven't bought any premiers now since my experience with die #7 last year. I won't buy any until I hear the problem has been adressed.

I will however, give credit where it is due. Crosman is one of the only manufacturers who has folks regularly viewing the forums. Same can't be said for others. Now I know Herb and others will say "they're only there to pimp their new products" so I'll beat them to the punch and counter with the fact that they do seem to belistening based on their latest consumer offerings. Here's hoping they fix the lead issues.
Cheers!

"but I'll be needin' that gun, fer squirrels and such."

Bill I'm glad you got a good Benji Disco -

well at least it looks good including the shot string Even
though I've been banned from the Yellow Forum for 2 years now
recently the way Steve has it set up I can enter to read but
can't join and post. So is that "blow up gun" accurate?

I've still got many thousands of CPLs, CPs and Cr Points -
all clean, sorted, lubed with Slick 50 One Lube and stored
in plastic containers. Many bought a few years ago. They
appear to be decent as in accurate in my airguns. Once they're
gone I'm done with Crosman ammo. I've also got plenty of JSBs
and soon with order many more and some Beeman FTS too - I'm
thinking 20 years ahead when it comes to airgun ammo LOL

Herb
