Well, after calling around, it seems there are no spare sight bases available for my HyScore 820 (75). Now I'm thinking I may have to favbricate one. I have a globe that is supposed to be for the 75. Any ideas?
Haven't had it out for a while but the tip may be knurled and I recollect a horizontal groove avross the bottom for some kind of cross pin. Guess I could use a muzzle brake with a base on top but I will have to figure the bore height, et cetera.
Should really get an idea of what I am working with, instead of some old disremembrance. Would that Anschutz base be at the proper height for a 75 rear sight?
My question exactly. Will the height of the Anschutz front sight work with the Diana rear? If so can you tell my what model sight you have as I'm looking for front sights as well. My 75's have grooves in the barrel. They have an 8mm wide "dovetail" and the space in the barrel weight is 22 to 24mm long.
Yep, I forgot about the holiday. I'll be at the Post Office as soon as they open tomorrow.
Loked at the end of my 75 barrel today. I only have the long weight and the barrel protrudes maybe seven or eight inches from this. About the last 2 1/2 or three inches is slightly stepped down. In this last section there is a single horizontal slot in the top with knurling in a ring pattern on each side of the slot. On the bottom of the barrel a long groove extends back through the stepped down portion and ends slightly in the full diameter.
My guess is the base slides onto the long groove and is held in place with a cross pin?
