I've just purchased this model over a BSA lightning XL Tact. I think I made the right choice. The BSA stock was nice, but it seemed a bit like a toy. The Diana was a heavy beast though @ approx 11.2 with a good scope.Unlike you lucky *astards in the US we have to apply for a Firearms Licence over here in Ireland (for obvious reasons!). You can get a handgun licence in Ireland for the same licence as a AirRifle, but i wanted to have an accurate gun, and shoot in my garden, hence my choice. Diana is not a big brand in the UK which is my nextdoor neighbour. You can buy a gun in the UK as long as it's under 12 FP. I've no idea what my Diana is but it shoots @ 1100fps, fantastic. The UK seems be PCP's involved but Germany, USA, Spain (and Ireland) seems to like springers (or CO2). Since I buy from the UK is there any sites in the U.S. or Canada that can sent to Ireland?

As for a moderator or brake for the front of your rifle, I am not sure what could be done. As long as there is no real taper on the first few inches of barrel, you should be able to get someone to machine something for you that would either a) slip on or b) be held on with a grub screw. I have no idea who might do that work and ship overseas though.

Dear Mr. McKenna, of course it's a great pleasure for me that I can help a Diana fan ! I read you also own a BSA Lightning like I do. Nice air rifle but not for the serious long distance what is possible with the Diana ! If you're looking for a reliable Diana > 300 m./s. the best choice is the 48 in 4.5 mm. which shoots easily more than 120 meters ! I own several Diana's and in our country we have no "power limits". Dear Paul: www.sportwaffen-schneider.de has de right silencer for you. They ship to Ireland. they will charge you EUR 52.95 for a good working / fitting silenver. Have a look on their website. For your info: all you need is available in Europe, the American after sales market is very poor for Diana / RWS. If you- ( or other Diana fans ) need something for the Diana's you can't find let me know !! In the Netherlands we nealry have it all, best regards from Johannis.
