JM Three-Nine Ultra

.558" ID

.128" wire diameter

39 coils

OAL unset 14.25"

It's not the Artic or had that process or whatever done to it.
But it is one that fits the factory guide according to a few
that have used it and it is the one that has been used in pro
tunes of 350Ms. I'm sure it beats the factory spring in longevity
and matches to exceeds it in power.

First e-mail with name and address gets it. FREE (USA 48).

I've always been about good deals to great deals in the "airgun
world" - this is one of the great deals

Hopefully someone that actually owns a 350M will get it.

Thats one I owe you! I know a day will come when maybe there wll be something I can do for you.
Remember this,I am a retired prototype welder from Ford Mo.Co.Research and Engineering Center in Dearborn Mi.(31yrs)Taught by US Navy&Tradeschool 1967-71
I have the machines and knowlege here at the house to weld any metal known to man(so far LOL).Please Keep this in mind if you break a part that can not be replaced. But springs are a no-no they are tempered and get like glass when welded.

Sincerly

How come you never used the 3-9 Ultra?

I just got the Arctic spring. Not sure what the differenc is between the 2. Jim Maccari wouldn't tell me after he sent me 3 e-mails! First he avoided the question and finally he told me to call Paul Watts(?!) and discuss it with him. Very strange correspondence to say the least.

Nice of you to offer the spring for free! Now in what other forum would you see this happen?

Diana 350 Mag .22
Hammerli 850 .22
A few Crosman CO2 & Pump .177

I'm no saint nor the opposite Also I'm not the only airgunner
that has gave other airgunners a good deal and a great deal.

Thanks for the offer Bob. Looks like Tuesday - Post Office is
closed tomorrow.

Harry I was seriously thinking about getting another 350M until
I noticed the new 460M and started reading anything I could find
on it. As you know I ended up buying one When ordering an
assortment of springs I bought the Three-Nine Ultra because I
guesstimated from the specs it'd be about right for the most
potent Dianas. I was also thinking the 460M would have the same
stroke as a 350M. Turns out the 350M is 5" stroke and 460M 4.5".
One could still use the spring by cutting it but JM came out with
the 460M kit so I got one. Figured I'd just get the spring into
the hands of a 350M owner and do a Boy Scout good deed

as you wrote you had the 350 and decided to buy the 460, could you post the cal. of each and at the same time your impressions of how they shoot

the 350 is believed to be a "brute" of a gun compared to the 460 and is hold sensitive

I have the 460 and is very powerfull compared to my 48. by just doing the OLD test's (telephone directory and soap bar) it tells me about penetration of each

don's have the 350 YET, still deciding if it is to my taste, have enough break barrel's I am into side and under level guns', more accurate

thanks in advance

Warren I have never shot a bone stock/factory 350M -

February 17 2008, 11:02 AM

I ordered a 350M .22 from Mid-South Shooters Supply and had it
shipped directly to Paul Watts. Paul did a ADV Tune (advanced
tune)including trigger work and cut/choked/recrowned barrel.
12" barrel with a 10" short shroud/muzzle weight added.

That tuned 350M carbine was quite nice! Very quiet smooth
cocking, quick linear shot cycle that didn't feel like a low
20s FPE springer. Should have kept it!

My bone stock 460M feels/shoots as well as the tuned 350M and
seems a tad less hold sensitive. It's also a .22 and a tad more
powerful than the tuned/shortened 350M. About a FPE or so depending
on pellet shot except for Kodiaks. Kodiaks are a very tight fit in
my 460M. JSB Exact Express (14.3 gr) deliver the most power in my
460M - clocking high 850s to low 860s fps MV.

My tuned/modded 350M looked a lot like the new Pro Compact 350Ms.
IIRC with the short shroud/muzzle weight slid all the way down it
was near 42" OAL. No harder to cock either with the fat grip and
Paul's work to make it smooth (adjusted, buttoned piston, etc.).

The 45" OAL 460M is still sweet but I'd love to have one 42" OAL -
heck make that 40"! Even if it robbed a couple of FPE I wouldn't
mind. Nor mind the bit harder cocking. I'm a carbine fan

The one thing

February 17 2008, 11:41 AM

that amazes me the most about my 350 .22 is how EASY it is to cock the barrel! The first 75-100 shots it took a little more effort but never hard to cock. It was probably in the mid-high 30's. After 100 pellets it came down to the advertised 33lbs. It still amazes me that such a light cocking effort delivers 22.7-24FPE with all the 14.3-14.6gr pellets I have tried.

Rick: you should have tried the gun stock first for a couple of days. It might have surprised you to find out that maybe Paul's ADV did not reduce the cocking effort by much
I take it you sold your 350 because it was .177?

I think I will NOT be buying the 350 after all

not because of you but because you added to the - side, looking for the + side of that air gun
