I just purchase a Beeman C1 Carbine 177. cal in very good condition. Stock very good condition, barrel needs some blueing but not much, gun is in over all great shape. Cocking effort is very very smooth and light. I shot about 5 rounds after getting out of car after a long day at work. The gun shot very smooth! Cocking was very smooth. The gun was a little loud, but I think the seller may have tried to lube it a little.
Hi.I bought one of these from a tweaker about 12 years ago, paid $100 for it back then.It is in perfect condition though, and San Rafael stamped. In retrospect after all these years,it probably was not his,but a trusted family members or a friends.Great gun, plenty of whack,eh?Good deal, dave from vabch, sometimes you just MUST get lucky, lol, tomas
If it's too loud, I'll give it a good home in the country where it can make as much noise as it wants to. Trade ya a ...? Great rifle you got there, and a superb price, wish I had come across it, I'd be bragging about it already. Shoot it a while, might just be over lubed, if not, shoot it somemore, it'll settle down. Talk to your friend Marcello, judging by the collection he's shown us here, he should be able to tame that one in a few hours. Good for you, nice addition to your collection.
Older is better.
I was just going to post the4 thing about being a loud little banger, Missys dad lol. I had a really nice one too. Like new but I paid a little more. Great rifle for what it was. I would have liked a little lighter adjusting trigger on my third iteration version but what they hey. It was a fun rifle.
I think the R9 or R7 would be a perfect candidate for just that stock configuration.
Parade of guns these days? Wow! A Beeman C1 carbine. That was a Webley made gun wasn't it? You got a deal @ $50 there - nice score. There's a picture of a minty one right now on the American Vintage forum.
"but I'll be needin' that gun, fer squirrels and such."
Re: Dave? What's your wife saying about the parade?

I wonder if our friend Dave finaly has finally acquired the same OCD (obsessive, compulsive disorder) that affects those of us who love the older air guns?
Guys, my wife said to me tonight "I'am worried about your obsession". Personally, I think it is just a good hobby. My wife collects cook books, watches the cooking channel all weekend, but that is not the same thing. Anyway, ever since I put that ad in the paper for old guns, I have been getting about 1 call a day on average. I don't even call back most of them. Of course a Beeman, or a RWS or something more exotic is quite a different matter. This C1 really is a nice gun, I will take it to Marcel to have a go over once his schedule slows down a bit. Well the ad is worth the $25.00 I paid into it and makes every call very interesting. Thanks guys for the encouraging words about my new addition to the family. I guess soon I will have to consider entering AA. (AIRGUNS ANONYMOUS).
Man a nice Webley springer carbine. Wish I'd of had one in
boyhood. One cocking stroke and it's ready for action! Grab
the pellets and gun and you're out the door for some fun.
