Hey Tim...

February 17 2008, 7:16 PM

It'll be another .177, I mostly cut paper, and I'm kinda stuck on that caliber. But I think either of the 34's will take a wabbit at about 30 yards with a pellet in the 8.4-.8 range, and a well placed shot. If it looks like I'll be shooting further than that, I'll just take the 48 "clone" with some 10.9gr pellets. She should be good for head shots out to 50 yards.

Pyramyd will get the order in the morning.... I know, I could do it tonight, but I think I finally figurred their system out....NEVER order on the weekend....trust me. First thing Monday morning, kick in the 5 bux express handling fee, and I'll have it on Wednesday.

I'm sorry to say but the scope will not stand a chance, lot's of people have had their Bsa scopes killed on powerful airrifles.

Good luck with that BSA scope, unless it's a Magnum springer rated scope which I don't think it is.

Maybe if he puts a thousand rounds through the rifle before mounting the scope the rifle will smooth out by the time he tries the scope. That's what I would do, unless he wants to return the scope sooner (or within warrantee?).

I recommend Leapers scopes as they've been holding up on rifles like my Prosport and BSA Goldstar. At that price point anyway.

I've experienced this myself exactly with this combination....but if you want to learn the hard way be my guest.
I only tell this as an advice because this scope will guarantied not hold, it's not negative...it's just realistic....
If I could recommend one it would be Bushnell Trophy
