Is this the same Justin us guys here have tried to help w/ first airgun purchace???? Waiting on tax$$?? Now SUPRISE! 460 monyana?? Kinda unpredictable Justin?? Well,,I remember what it was like when I was young. Good luck Justin,,hope you did some research & have some Kodiaks or other heavy pells. inc. w/your order from P.A.. Good luck Justin,,Maintain altitude & keep it out of the dirt. WOW, is right,,,Tim.
I am young and did weeks of research and considered a few different guns.
I got CP' s to shoot since a lot of reports said they were the most accurate. (not too light "supersonic" and not too heavy to avoid "piston bounce")
Main reason i choose the 460 was it had good power(FPE) from reports for the price, was from good manufacture and was fixed barrel, i considered a RX-2 but choose the 460 just hope it's all i hoped for.
Other two air guns i owned were .177 caliber and not capable of enough energy for hunting.
A Benji pump and a Crossman break barrel (discontinued).
Always wanted a true hunting air rifle, and hope i enjoy this gun as i want to move to a PCP later on if i enjoy the sport a lot.
Until something bad has happened I would try not to worry about it. Case in point; since another of our brethren has been through this with his 46, I would be inclined to think PA might be a little more careful with how they handle airguns sold with cases. I really would like to think so.
Don't fret about it too much unless something bad comes of it. I know its hard not to but try not to anyway.
Justin I also have a 460, not all have had problems with 460. You read some of the other forums there are alot of happy owners. I just mounted my beeman 5039 mount with Swift model 685M 3x940mm scope. nice mount raised back of mount two turns 25yrds 4 shots size of a quarter, 1/4" low i/4" to the left
scope set on o o have only shot it 6 times. I love it if i have problems later so be it, ill get it fixed. Enjoy it for what it is RWS one of the finest air guns made, it would be the finest but they make more than one model LOL

uh oh, it seems we have two justins....im the one asking about my tax bought diana...ill writing my name as justinhoover or justinh...i was surprised when i saw this one...im still into the 34 or 48...im not that unpredictable!!!!
between a 460 .22 firing 750 and one firing 850 unless you have a chrony. Its a bit quieter and slightly smoother but that's it. If you do have one that fires in the 750s and you do some balistic testing in comparison with one firing at 850 you will really see that the 100fps makes a nice difference especially with large hollow points.
Just enjoy it. I am pretty anal about getting what I paid for so I sent my 460 to Paul Watts to fix the piston seal issue and replace the spring with a Maccari.
Dont get me wrong i want mine to shoot 850 If it dont they will see it till it does or give me a new gun. Or i will contact cabelas. They dont like unhappy cust. If i came across i dont care what it shoots i do. I called and told them
i was going to send it back because of the trouble alot of people where having,
they told me if i had trouble they would make it right. I hope it was the right
choice to keep it. Ive shoot guns all my life but first springer. Love the way it shoots, but did buy it to hunt. I want all i can get like you i bought it because it was suppose to shoot 900fps.
All the best on your gun

"Pyramid did a good job packing it, they put bubble wrap all around the gun/scope inside case"
Well, it seems my sad tale of TWO ruined RWS 46's in a row packed in the Plano case without the above treatment got their attention! The way I figure, PA lost at least $250-300 to save $1.00 of bubble pack and thirty seconds of a packers time! (Two ruined stocks and 4 x $25 of shipping)
My 460, which to their credit they gave me a VERY good deal on, arrives Tuesday...I've got both fingers and toes crossed! IF I get a good one, the only time it's EVER going to leave my custody is when they pry it from my dead, cold fingers! If I need it tuned I'll do it myself. Period.
And FORGET the warranty!
