I can not believe you guys !!!!

February 24 2008, 7:47 PM

Thats like asking David Copperfield how he does his magic.,or asking a custom painter how he makes colors blend.
Talk about getting personal.
Marcelo Z is a master at what he does.I am pertty sure his magic is created by knowlege and natural skill,if he shares this information with you I will be amazed.
I can not believe the personal questions you guys ask sometimes.

Sorry If I piss you off
But Come on !!! Talk about getting personal!!!
Read ,Pratice and learn.Just Like Marcelo did when he was a young man.
Ass kissing yes, leaches yes, info I doubt it or he will unveil all his long learned secrets.

Respectfully
Bob Schlund
Still striving to be a tuner half as good as Marcelo Z.(trial and error)But doing it myself and learning from mistakes. And always remembering it has to be learned not told.

No wonder he doesn't like posting here anymore.
He said that a few days ago after Tim's statment.
REMEMBER???

How are you suposed to learn as a home hobbiest?By trial and error ruining your guns?I saw no disrespect or butt kissing. Odd a forum you can read but don't ask questions?........now I'm hoping I'm not alone feeling this is uncalled for...............Harold

This is what I'm talking about re the current collective

February 25 2008, 4:31 AM

Bob, the question posed about tuning is pretty standard on other forums, airguns, firearms, archery, you name it. It's one of the main reasons folks join them, to gain knowledge from others who have and share it. This is not an exclusive country club nor the magician's union. And ripping someone a new one, then ending "Respectfully"....where's the respect in that?

What, me worry???

Marcelo has posted in detail with pics...

February 25 2008, 7:31 AM

on this forum and others. Do some searching and reading.

Just about every tweak, trick, mod, repair on springers,
pumpers, gassers and PCPs can be found by searching through
the various AG forums and various AG websites. It's all there
for free but requires some work to find it, read and study it.

DAQ, Jan Kraner, Paul Watts, Ed K., Tim M. and sooooo many other
smiths, tuners, tinkerers, makers of custom parts, etc. have
answered soooo many questions and shared soooo much information
along with detailed pics.

There's soooo many knowledgable to very knowledgable airgun guys
that post here, on the various Yellow forums, at the Crosman Forum,
at the Vintage AG forum, at the Airgun Advice forum, at the BBS
AG forum, at Gateway AG forum, at the BSA AG forum, JM's forum,
at AG forums from Canada to way down under where the great Harry
Fuller (Yrrah) lives.

Wow,some folks are touchy!Well as I stated a few posts up that Marcelo has posted some of his work @ other fourms and gives some great insight as to how and why he does things.I dont belive he would not post this info if he didnt want to share his "secrets".My intention was to get info out, about a specfic airgun that a lot of folks have to make it a tad better, from a master tuner,so that we all could benifit from it.If that makes me a @$$ kissing ,leach so be it.At least I can identify my problem! As this post may go south from here ,I wont antagonise.Relax, breath deep, and remember every day is good, some are just better!

Here is a MZ "How I did it" post from this forum . Not a 34 tune but a 46 . Bear in mind that a 46 is basically an under levered 34 and ,well..., some ideas may come to mind .

Marcelo has been very free with sharing his progress . He may not tell *all* of what he knows , but enough to get you started on your own skills snd learning curve. That is what it's all about . Thank you MZ .

Salut! and Cheers .

34 Tune Tips

February 29 2008, 6:43 PM

Just got back from being out of the country. Sorry for the late reply.

The 34 was just deburred at the cocking slot and the spring had 6 coils chopped off it. It was a JM kit with a fitted guide.

Essentially, it's just a de-tune. The thing in effect is just a full size R7.

Cheers
mz

Smooth as silk!

March 1 2008, 4:19 AM

Marcello, welcome back. I hope you had a successful trip. Did you tune any guns while you were away? I have been shooting my tuned 34 almost daily, and it does indeed shoot like a R7. I use to shoot my 34. then immediately switch to my 460 mag. 22. and comment on how the two guns were similar but the 34 more harsh and almost as hard to cock. Well, yesterday, I shot the 460. and man, the cocking now felt like a bear after shooting the tuned 34. The 34 now is such a pleasure to shoot. It's got to be the smoothest 34. on the planet! Needless to say that I am very proud on my New 34, not to mention my vintage Hw 30. I may get rid of some gun in the future, who knows, but never the two that were "birthed" by Marcelo Z!

Sincerly
Dave

ps Soon my son will thank you as well

ELIMINATED, TERMINATED 6 coils?????

it must be a 1/2 CTC at 10 yards

no preload at all and easy to cock?

again a clasic example of a de-tuned air gun that is sweet to shoot and will touch something at 20 yards. It is not about POWER but about ACCURACY

thank you Marcelo for not being about velocity but smooth shooting

warren

and remember "it's 30% the gun and 70% the shooter"
