bought it new about 6 months ago...not sure how many pellets I have through it, but I'm sure I have at least 700 and maybe as many as 1000. A couple of months ago I noticed that it was started to honk when cocking it. They come very dry. So I pulled the spring, put some JM tar on it and put a few drops of the old beeman chamber lube in the compression tube behind the seal. I didn't want to pull the piston and seal just yet because I didn't feel like removing the barrel and deburring everything. It's now shooting a lot smoother with less recoil and more velocity. Here's the #'s (all 10 shot strings on a prochrono):
Beeman FTS: High-671 Low-569 AVG- 663 ES12 SD4
CP's : High-667 Low-654 AVG- 660 ES13 SD4
Gamo Hunters: High-637 Low-621 AVG-630 ES16 SD4
RWS superdomes: High-679 Low-673 AVG-675 ES6 SD2
When I noticed how dry it was I remember running a few CP's over the chrono and getting around 630. The spring tar and chamber oil have brought it up about 30 fps.
These guns are really nice with the beeman aperture. I just put one on mine and can shoot 1" groups all day long at 100' with the CP's and superdomes. The Beeman FTS shoot really well too, although I didn't do multiple groups with them...just one 10 shot group for the chrony #'s and they were all in 1.5" and this is not shooting off a bench, but sitting on my deck step with my elbows rested on my knees. Not the most stable position, but it's usually how I shoot.
