She came home tonight, Diana in all her glory. Barrel stamped 05 83, a Diana 75. Beautiful walnut, very nice bluing, and thanks to my airgun dealer at Precision Airguns Inc. here in Cleveland, with a new set of springs and seals by Randy Bimrose in California before he'd even let her out of the shop. Diana 82 diopter sight on the rear, Eagle Eye front sight, barrel shroud, an original German target gun in it's highest expression. Shooting it is an experience that is difficult to describe. First to be mentioned is the fact that there is no recoil, absolutely none, less than my 24. Next will be the sights. These are iron sights, but they are more accurate than a lot of the scopes I'm using. Acquire the target and the job is done, as long as it is centered it's a perfect shot at 10 meters. I wouldn't be excited about this if I had 20/20, but usually I need a scope to shoot this well. Won't even go into the aesthetics of handling this gun. Older, refined, graceful, oohhh, can't believe how good this feeling is, and now she's in the harem too. Does it get any better?
P.S. Looking at a Wierauch 55 for the next lover.

"Older is better" are the first words of wisdom I picked up by MZ! A 75 is my next hunt!

Good Shooting!

Do it. Went way over budget on this one, but I can tell you now it's a keeper that I'll never regret. They aren't made anymore, good ones are getting harder to find. I know there are many out there but the pristine ones are going up faster than gold. Extremely accurate rifles, but not a home tuners gun. Last one I saw was on Gunbroker and it was $600.00, but it only said it was "excelent", micrometer sights in NJ. Saw another @ $395.00, a club gun in AL but the sights were not original. Bought mine from a local gunsmith with a fresh rebuild from a reputable builder for a bunch more than that, but I got a pristine gun in better than NOS condition. Make sure the seals are OK and the Timing on the pistons in the cocking mechanism are OK. Seems like $ 700 - $1000 may be the going rate for a nice one. Hope you have better luck than I did with your wanted ads. If you find a good one that tuned 34 is going to feel a bit rough next to it.

Missy's Dad. I placed another ad in the paper today for 30 days. However I have spent enough money already and the next gun better be cheap. If I come across a Beeman I am giving MZ first dibs if I do not buy, If I come across a 75 I will get in touch with you.

SHE walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies,
And all that's best of dark and bright....

Oh jes! Git it on. Man.
