Everyone, I'm proud to ask you all to please welcome Russ Sauer as my new Moderator!
Russ graciously offered to help keep tabs around here and with my current stack of health occurances and ever expanding obligations, the help is sorely needed!
Please everybody welcome Russ and count on him to do a consciencious and fair job. Knowing him I KNOW he will! He and I will both try and monitor this Forum and keep it as sane as humanly possible.
Hey Russ, You have taken on a big responsability. Im shure you did not fall into this on a whim. My hats off to you for the comitment you have made to all of us here at the Diana Werks. Hopefully your job will be uneventfull.Great to have you here Russ! Tim.
I hope that I am able to help take some of the load off of Dave so he can find the time he needs to handle what life has thrown his way. Maybe it will give him a bit more time to enjoy his guns as well.
good to have you! from what ive seen ,tho....this is a behaved bunch....
so what dianas do you have, and what are some of youre preferences about airguns??
Thanks for the good wishes! Life is a complex and wonderfull thing! He-he, sometimes too complex and gets in the way of airgun Forums!
Yea this Forum has really turned into more than my wildest hopes for it and it's all due to the fine folks who come and post here! There's so much good stuff and fine folks that I am very proud to even have tried to make a Diana page years ago. SInce starting, the reams of information and great topics have really aided the airgun community and I can only take credit for naming the place. It's you folks that made the place great! Seems to be getting better EVERY day too!
A P5 Magnum that continues to thrill me. I went through a phase of getting rid of anything that didn't serve a specific purpose but I'm building the collection again (much to the wife's dismay).
My current project / guilty pleasure is one of the Beeman RS2's made in China. It's responded very well to mods and is a very sweet shooter. Bought this thing on a whim due to a very low price tag (dented box and broken sight) but have regretfully fallen in love with it.
On the Diana front, I do have something in mind and plan on ordering it from Germany within the next couple of months. One of the advantages of working for a German company is the hassle free shipping!
You'll find this group to be considerably more mature than those you are used to on the Daisy/Winchester board. But be forewarned! Some of us CAN act childish at times.;O) Main difference is that we soon realize it and police ourselves in most instances.
Thanks for offering to help Dave. My own computer skills are far too poor to do so, but I have been hoping someone more skilled could relieve him of part of the burden. Tom
