Has anyone ordered parts directly from German airgun suppliers? If you have could you give us a tutorial on
the best way to go about it. The pros the cons, any Customs permits, duties, pitfalls, insurance etc.

The advantages seem to be many, those suppliers have lots of desirable parts that sometimes seem to be difficult to
obtain in the American Continent.

Thanks

No hassles at all!

AFAIK, there are no export restriction in Germany (unlike the US nowadays!) Even getting parts and accessories from Europe in to Mexico is now easier than getting them from the US.

I have ordered parts, spares and accessories from FWB, Anschütz, Diana (M&G), Steyr, and Danny Kueng (Germany, Austria and Switzerland)without any problems. I've been Olympically ignored by AA, Webley, Parker Hale, John Whiscombe and other British manufacturers.

Ordering has been easy: write an E-Mail stating the exact part number you need (not the part number in the exploded drawing of the users' diagram, but the SKU number), get a quote stating that you want it delivered by Mail (European mail systems are VERY good) and that you will pay taxes upon arrival. The supplier then writes the contents of the box in a small green tag that gets affixed to your shipment in the Post-office. In that green tag, the VALUE of the shipment is specified and when your local mail gets the stuff, it tells you how much you have to pay in taxes, if any. For the most part, as long as "spares, replacement and / or repair parts" is put on the tag there are no taxes here, there may be in the US. When the word accessories crops up, then we are assessed an overall tax of 17% (15% for VAT and 2% for importation fees), which is not bad at all. The supplier then will charge your credit card for the amount resulting from adding the parts, the packing, the postage and any other expense that was clearly advised before, and the package gets posted.

You get it 2-3 weeks later, pay your local taxes and get to open your package.

It's really simple, try ordering a spring, a seal or something cheap to iron out all the dificulties with your local postman, in subsequent orders try not to exceed 1 kilogram (2.2 lbs.) and I am sure you will find yourself a very happy camper!

Johannis, problem is

I am not in the US!

I am in México. So rules are different.

As regards Sylvan's post, I assumed he was talking about commercial sites. Not friends.

Keep well!

Parts from Europe.

I read it costs 2 - 3 weeks to become your parts from Europe ? I guess this is from a very slow country, if you want to know ask Warren because ( I hope ) he can tell you the time between ordering / receiving. Are you looking for something you can't buy in your country ? Best regards from Johannis.
