imagine a smaller tubed, slimmer stocked, shorter and
lighter Diana 48/52. Say 5 1/2 to 6 lbs. and 36" OAL
shooting .177 CPLs at 825 fps MV or .22 CPs at 625 fps
MV. Diana's version of a Webley Tracker

Also a Diana 28sk (short karbine) would be nice

Little springers with a "healthy sting" appeal to me.

I've been wanting that for years. But not a tracker.

I see where you're coming from regarding the idea that carbines are more accurate inherantly than full length barrels but are you sure it works the same way for air rifles? I honestly don't know.

It's called a 46 Stutzen!

Air;

Except for the pop-up loading port, what you want is already out there, it's a 46 Stutzen.

46's are wonderful rifles, and the carbine version is sweet to shoot. It can be easily improved upon and although not particularly powerful, they are very effective within TRUE wood's ranges.

I had a 46 Stutzen that I loved dearly, it now resides with a very good friend of mine that will not release it, even for 20% more than what he paid me! LOL! I am truly happy for both of them.

Do try a 46 Stutzen, it's everything you want and more.

Un Abrazo!

Stutzen is a collectors item ?

March 8 2008, 3:53 PM

MR.MEDINA, spiritual words !! Yes, the Stutzen is the air rifle for the "connaisseur" of air rifles and shoots perfect groups. One of the air rifles with the best weight and balance, not to light, not to heavy, not to much recoil ! Best buy is the .177 because the .22 has a little lack of power is my opinion. Speaking for myself: I take the .177 ten times more than the .22 Best regards from Johannis.

Hector, though my lineage purest Deutch may be, I've never had an interest in full length wood stocks. But I have a 46 which I do enjoy.

What I really want is a sidelever of the 750 to 850 fps range.

Abreviated Rifles

I concur as to the Stutzen, it is a fine piece of work
But for those of you that don't like wood to the tip of the barrel
the 46 compact would be the gun to go to, the importer does not think
we need it. I would like the Importer to do a survey here at the
Collective. and find out what we want imported. Heck were the Buyers!

I would like the 28 imported as well as the current crop.
I tried to get one from Canada to no avail.

Sorry bout the rant.
