Just Bought One RWS 24 Rifle From Glen. Its my Second RWS 24 Rifle,Got my First 24C Rifle From the Great Snake Mike Sage! These 24 Rifles are Just Great to Shoot,Hard to put Down, even Harder to find Brand New.Act Fast or Wait for next Time?
The factory blurbs say the 34 is a classic, but I don't see a model labelled "classic". And is it .177 or .22? (Tried to call Umarex but they all must have been out to lunch.)
called and option 17 is for Glenn, left a message and are still WAITING, by the time he calls I will be lucky to buy a wood stock for my 34 which has a crack or maybe a tin of RWS pellet's
in .XYZ cal.
warren
and remember "it's 30% the gun and 70% the shooter"
I have a 34 classic 177 cal. i got from Glen, paid 150.00 shipping included.Only difference it has a straight stock ,Hard rubber butt pad, fiber optic sites, and the rear screw on top that people use for a scope stop like i use to do and shear em off, theres not one there.Looks like the youth model on pyramid air,the schultze(i think that's how you spell it.)It's a hard hitter.
Attn: Glenn&Ryan. I have spoke w/ you both before & you have helped me w/my Diana guns. Ryan, you really tried to help & even returned my ph.calls. Thank you. Now,, Im gonna go out & find the biggest "fire ant" pile I can & kick it & poke sticks at it!! Umarex as a whole has screwed up! You have alot of discontented customers. As a sole imp./dis. for Diana you must get your shi$ together fast! Shure you may sell some guns to "newbs" at major retailers, but, the core of your future lies in continued sales to exp. airgunners & word of mouth. Alot of bad vibes here Ryan, this forum carries alot more weight than you might think: Ie: most newbs that buy a Diana are not buying a Daisy/Cross. $30 pumper,They are investing serious $$ for what they expect to be a "serious" airgun. They are in most cases decent upstanding people w/some expendabe cash that will most likely end up here,at Diana Werks!! Umarex,, Please step up to the pump,Admit you have made mistakes,Tell us you are trying diligently to rectify the problems. I for one would love to see this turn around for you. To the "Owner" of Umarex, You still have time to turn this around. Time is of the essence. Bargain deals on guns of questionable heritage,& "deals" on ugly color stocks arent going to "smooth" this serious problem over. Suck it up,admit to mistakes,&fix the problem. Just couldn't get hold of them. (They haven't returned my call yet, come to think of it.) From the menu, it sounds like they aren't a really heavily manned outfit yet. I don't mind the specials, either. Almost got one of those 48SV's. And I don't even mind them hawking the specials here and there because it does show they are paying attention to the forums. Kind of giving us first crack, as those guns are not listed under specials on the website.
And, if you did get a lemon from Umarex, they don't build them, you know. That goes back to Diana. Insofar as the 460 goes, it's starting to sound like the design team dropped the ball.
Hey R.F. I am in no way mad at Umarex. Seems others are,& I dont blame them. I just think they need to correct some issues to continue to get support from loyal Diana customers. I am new here, lets see if I got this right,, Diana (Germany)are the ones that manufacture the fine airguns we most all love,, RWS is not a name stamped on the guns,,but only an exporter. Umarex at this point in time is the only company that imports Dianas. I still call my guns RWS sometimes, no,,they are Diana,s!! Just my 2-cents!! Tim.
Strange that one of our most cherished Rifles would be
the 24,its the dimunitive Rifle of choice. the go for gun.
and yet Diana opts to discontinue it.Smart move. sure makes for a loyal following.
It's been what, two days now? Anyway, the 34 Classic is the basic 34 with the addition of an extended forend and a rubber buttpad. Sounds nice but, as it's in .177, I'll pass.
(Sure wish there were an edit function so's I wouldn't have to post, again, hint, hint)
Odd that the 34 Classic described above is now different. I specifically asked if it had an English sporting stock (no grip) and he said it was the same configuration as the standard 34 except as I have noted. No checkering, either.
